Weird!!
6 December 2004 | by (Grapeland Texas) – See all my reviews

I really stumbled onto this movie and had never heard of it. It was crazy and if I hadn't researched it online I would have never believed it. Val Kilmer was way sexier than the real John Holmes. Also, the constant portrayal of drug use got a little old. This movie is like porn for drug addicts! I liked the movie over all though. I think this is the best role I have ever seen Lisa Kudrow play. Very real and deep. I missed the connection with his wife and his girlfriend but I thought the part with Carrie Fisher playing the do-gooder was funny. I also actually like Josh Lucas in this movie. I have not liked any of the other roles he has played but I felt this one was more gritty, and spastic. This is definitely not a movie for the average viewer, but worth the ride
