I won’t. I’ll let the crippling economic conditions that disproportionately affect my generation stop me from having kids

I’ve got a yard sale this weekend. Feel free to keep the dream going… $70 for NFL Quarterback Club, $50 for Vegas Stakes, $30 for Jeopardy or Monopoly. Buy 2 for the price 3.

You don’t have the right to free speech in a moderated forum hosted by a private company. And free speech does not mean freedom from consequences

Aluminum case from MisterAddOns is, to me, the nicest option out there. Offers passive cooling too so it’s silent. It just looks so sleek.

Why no new NES FPGA console? by darkzero7222 in AnalogueInc

[–]buzzdennis 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah maybe they’re struggling less than before. But they’re still trying to fulfill 2 different products using whatever allotment they’re able to get their hands on. Would be irresponsible of any company to announce they’re launching a third product when they can barely fulfill one of them.

Being able to get fully assembled hardware from larger companies may be improving. However, that works against small companies like Analogue. Intel, Dell, HP, etc all those companies have much higher purchasing power and have been wielding that power during the COVID supply shortages, buying up whatever they can. That leaves very little for smaller companies to purchase as they get put at the back of the line. Analogue has been focused on very specific FPGA hardware that is increasingly difficult to obtain. So while I’m glad your experience as a consumer has been improving, smaller, specialty electronics manufacturers are still suffering through things.

Not sure if it's okay to post, but this company is making clear NES shells, but needs more orders to hit the minimum quantity. by muzzynat in nes

Dental picks and Deoxit D5 have worked for me every time. The pin connectors were a Nintendo design flaw from the start but they can almost always be repaired. Pop off the pin connector, spray with Deoxit to clean them up. And use a dental pick to lightly bend the pins back into place. Unless the pin connector has rusted through, there’s no need to even buy a replacement. Bending the pins back into place will keep it working for years to come.

Chase Edmonds and Patrick Peterson predict Kyler Murray will play elsewhere: Arizona has 'culture' problems by bgene1104 in AZCardinals

Contracts don’t mean much in the NFL. A team can cut a player and not have to pay them the remainder of the salary on the contract. It’s a 2-way street so it’s definitely not a power grab. More of a mechanism to try and even the playing field.

Both things can be true. There’s only 1 NFL. Players can want to be paid and still hate their employer. It’s not a contradiction to say “x team has a bad front office” while working for a different team that also has a bad front office.
