Funny cat photos, trending news stories, and the best discussions on the internet—these are just a few of the awesome things the official Reddit app does best.
On Reddit, there’s a community for every subject imaginable: your favorite sports team, relationship advice, memes, the latest in news and politics—all in real time.
And if you like gifs (or jifs, jiffys, glyphs, ifs, however you choose to mispronounce it), we’re positive you'll love it.
What’s that you say, girl? “What about a community dedicated solely to images of cats standing on their hind legs?”
We got that, too.
Whether you’re into movies or space travel, baking or weight training, cheesy dad jokes or more NSFW humor, world news or Hollywood gossip—or all of the above—you can instantly share your content and ideas with an audience of millions.
We’re not saying Reddit is like all your favorite apps put together. But if we were saying that, we’d tell you it has:
• the trendy headlines of Twitter
• the educational content of Quora
• the viral pics of Memebase and Imgur
• the jokesters of Tumblr
• the lols of 9GAG and theCHIVE
• the cringeworthy personal stories of FML and Fail Blog
• the rage comics of fourchan
• and the powerful, human stories found only on Reddit.
(Oops, we went full circle.)
So the next time you’re bored and need a break—wait, you’re bored right now? Why are you still reading this? Download the app already!
Those cats won’t stand on their hind legs forever...

Unexpected My boyfriend always uses this app and finds great stuff to show me, so I decided to try it myself. I've tried it once before, but the app wasn't so easy to navigate. However, now, it's much easier to use and understand, and I was not disappointed. This coming from someone who uses Facebook constantly, I have to say I love Reddit way more.

Garbage App Posting on this app is difficult if you don't memorize every sub reddit. It kills my battery, and uses way too much data, especially for simple text posts. The updates never seem to improve anything. I'm really sick of this app.

Good, but some annoying parts When I click on comments on my own page or someone else's page, it doesn't go straight to the comment, instead I have to scroll all the way down in the post. If the post is popular, this makes it nearly impossible to find the comments. Also, while in an account, we should be able to see how many likes a comment has without clicking on it and scrolling all the way down. One more change would be to allow us to sort comments and posts from an account by new, popular, and controversial.

Can't access a single subreddit or post Updated today and now nothing is working. The app says "wow, such empty" and any subreddit I've gone to says I am unauthorized to view the sub. Not working even when logged out or trying on different accounts.

This could be so much better The app is constantly crashing and every now and then it doesn't load anything so I have to clear the apps data. Also when I post a comment why does it post twice? Also why can't we have the upvote animations on the app?

Video loading times. My only problem with the app is that it takes ages to load videos, the videos that are linked to twitch loads way faster than videos that are posted on reddit. It only happens on my wifi connection, when on my mobile data it loads perfectly.

You get specifically what you wish for The stuff you get here is perfection. No bullshit from anyone. Only and only intellectual community here. Best app ever with a massive good community. Way better than newspapers and other framed bullshit. Go go Reddit
The best I love Reddit. Ditching Facebook for reddit was a great idea. Ignore the annoying people reposting other people's creations. Come to the world of witty community, helpful customer service, and original posts.
Lots of problems Always says login even though I already am. Can't see how the Reddit sub page is supposed to look without going into additional settings....pain. Galaxy S5 and S7 Edge.
Review Highly inconsistent app. App crashes often and some pictures simply refuse to load. On the bright side, when it does work, its fast.
Crashes fixed, ignore Whilst reddit being a great platform, and the app being faster than the web version, THE APP CRASHES WAAAAAAAY TO OFTEN Android tried to uninstall it for me since it crashed 13 times in a day 13 TIMES! EDIT: crashes are fixed, finally
Easy navigation and usability I was skeptical of the mobile app for a long time, but they've made a lot of improvements recently that are great. I especially like that threads are slightly grayed when read so you can keep track of what you've already seen.
Useful if you're just scrolling Seems like 90% of the desktop site functionality is lost tho, so since the desktop version displays reasonably well on my phone and I need things like flair and such for the subs I use most often, this app is sadly useless for me.
Not bad. Waste of time , crash after crash. Uninstalled. Sort it out.
Fake Everything is either fake, a repost, or a shill. If you are a drone you will love this app.
Reddit rocks this app sucks You can only access menus and your other subreddit's from the first page not half as user friendly as alien blue was on iphone
Forces use of chrome This app seems to not obey my system browser preferences, always opening in Google Chrome, which i specifically do not want. This was a deal breaker for me.
Constantly crashes The app doesn't go 5 minutes without crashing, and every 3-4 days I have to reinstall it because it won't load any content.
Still one problem. Every so often gifs will not play. Aside from that it's great.
Works fine and I love it... Fixed crashes freezes... Mostly. Please add notifications for the messages, like on PC and ios.
I lost to many hours on reddit 10/10 would waste my Life again
Needs a lot of work First of all make it more customizable(add night mode). Second make an paid pro option cause I would reather pay for it then have Ads. Third add an hide button and a feature to add the posts you already seen like on reddit relay. And maybe after I'll start useing it ;)
Landscape mode please? Great app, but two suggestions ... Landscape mode and a larger down arrow / right arrow icon to open and close conversation threads
Easy to use, unfortunately some countries don't allow reddit access, it could be helpful to include vpn feature in it. I use this along with vpn all the time. Good work.
Reddit Every time I go back to the main screen to view the listed discussions it always restarts with the same filter it originally had even if that's been changed. So all I ask is for it not to do that and that we don't get restrictions on how many time we reply or post thanks.
Simple, Efficient, Solid. There's much to fault here really...it's a well designed app that doesn't get in the way of what you are trying to do, which is simply use Reddit. No issues here. I however for some crazy reason still enjoy visiting Reddit via browser more.
Images and gifs Images and gifs are much lower quality on this app compared to other free ones. Noticeably different. Same phone, same images/gifs.
You can't flair, see comment karma, and if you wanna look at comment replies rather than taking you to your comments thread directly, clicking on your comment takes you to the entire post, forcing you to look for the thread you wanted.
Great It's easy for me to navigate and find what I am looking for, along with other troubleshooting problems as well. Perfect!
Great app, can you make it compatible in Landscape mode? Would be great for tablet users.
Good but crashes Makes it easy to get to content and account features, but I get random crashes while browsing threads.
Does not show notifications. Shows no notifications whenever a comment/post is up voted. Does not show the comments directly. Opening a post on a sub reddit and pressing back does not take you back to the sub reddit itself.
Love this app!! Thanks for making such an easy app to maneuver around! But it keeps f'ing crashing :\
Not ready I like reddit. This app is not ready. Much trouble with logins, if you run multiple accounts good luck to you, it does not go well.
Not compact Smaller display mode isn't all that compact.
Bad Navigation Try one of the better apps for browsing reddit
Ugh wth? It crashes after like 10 seconds after the new update, can't even use it now.
Connect with others Don't feel so alone with my opinions when I can express them with people!
