I [27m] was in a really bad coma and there was this girl who would regularly visit me. How do I find her?Non-Romantic (self.relationships)

I got out of a really bad coma that lasted a year a few months ago and I'm not 100% well, but I'm recovering. I got into a car accident the same day my gf broke up with me and my family is shite, so one came to visit me.

When I woke from the coma, I found this note. It said "Unfortunately I won't be able to see you any longer, but I truly hope that you recover soon. Love, A. 3/7/16". This girl was seeing me since October 2015, as the people from the hospital said. I have no idea where she is, who she is but I want to find her so badly. Is there any way I can ever see her again?

tl;dr: a girl was seeing me in the hospital while I was in a coma for 5 months. will I ever see her again?

The hospital just let some random girl wander into your hospital room while you're in a coma and just hang out? Seems kind of strange, not to mention a liability on their part that they don't even know who this girl is.

You're allowed to visit strangers in coma where I live. I'm sure they know who she is, but they don't know where she is or how I can contact her. They won't give me her personal information.

Ask them to pass along a message for you then. Get a nice thank you card, write how much having her visit when no one else did means to you, and include your contact info and a request she contact you.

How are they going to find her, though? She doesn't go to the hospital anymore and they have her documents, but nothing else...

Billing. You ever want records from anything from a hospital they will have them in billing notices and recipts. They want that money buddy.

If the hospital has her name, you can probably find her with some strong googling/searching/facebook, if you're patient. Just look for people with that name who live nearby.

This is going to sound weird, but are you having any memory loss? It seems kind of strange a random person would come visit you. Any chance you forgot a girlfriends name or something? Especially if she signed it "Love", that heavily implies it's someone you know/knew. And it seems more likely than a random stranger

And if she is random, i assume the hospital has some kind of program- again, ask them, see if she's still a part,or if they have her info.

If the hospital doesn't have her name,you're probably out of luck

I'm sure they know her name because they would need her documents for her to visit me or anyone in a coma. I'll try to ask her full name and search about her, but I think it's likely they won't tell me because it's personal information D:

Anyway, the hospital staff probably have her house address - just give them a note asking her to contact you and ask them to send it to her.

I looked it up on Google, some countries allow that. I'm thinking that this girl actually knows him, but I'm not sure. Anyway she's a nice person for wanting to visit random people in a coma, I knew I wouldn't have the balls to do that.

You'd have to ask the people who make the laws, not me...

But seriously, I don't know. You're allowed to go to a hospital and ask to see people. You don't need to know them. There's a lot of people who visit those who are in a coma but don't have anyone to see them.

Talk to the hospital staff, and ask them to send her a message asking who she is. The hospital staff probably kept records of who the woman was. They'd probably be okay with that.

I'm glad you are recovering OP!

It's intriguing and weird, but its a wonderful demonstration of humanity.

I'd do the same thing in your position, despite the possibility that it could get me hurt (while recovering from a coma no less!)

Oh! and try to remember who to keep cut out of your life? Ex-girlfriend to start. <3 you rock OP! Having girls fall in love with you while you are in a fucking coma... Impressive to say the least.

This is awesome that someone did that for you. I had stage 4 cancer around the same time you were in your coma and was in a few shorter commas. The only stranger I ever had come visit me was some hippie priest with an acoustic guitar. (Although I did have a ton of cool nurses.) I really hope you find her, man. I know how important it is to acknowledge that bond particularly when your own family was shite. (Mine wasn't exactly shite, but was far from stellar.) Much love.

Is there such thing as a good coma?

Also, if she's visiting coma patients and ducking out once you wake up, that probably means she doesn't want to continue seeing you after you recover. She just wanted to talk/be there if it would help you wake up. You woke up. If you do find her, please be very respectful of what she wants, and back off if she expresses that she doesn't want any further interaction.

Yeah I realized after I wrote that that there are medically induced comas, probably different degrees of coma, etc.

Ok cool. Maybe if you leave something with the hospital staff, they can make sure to give it to her when she comes back to see someone else? I'm just guessing, but if someone visits coma patients, I'd think it's not a one-off occurrence. They can confirm to you she received it without giving more information than she may want.

(I know you don't want a relationship with her, but we're all curious because we hope she's young Sandra Bullock in While You Were Sleeping.)

They just said she looked like she was in her early/mid 20's and was blonde, nothing more than that
