Jerry Bruckheimer Drops Some Top Gun 2 Plot Details

Maverick. Iceman. Goose. Kenny Loggins. They all became household names in the 1980s thanks to a little movie called Top Gun. Produced by Don Simpson and Jerry Bruckheimer, Top Gun grossed an obscene amount of money by making the Navy look both totally cool and vaguely homoerotic. But decades later, when ace fighter pilots have been replaced by decidedly less cool unmanned aerial drones, is the highway to the danger zone closed for good? Bruckheimer doesn’t think so. In fact, he’s got the pedal to the floor and he’s speeding down the commuter lane with Top Gun 2 in his passenger seat.

Hunger Games Actor Dayo Okeniyi Joins Terminator Genesis

Dayo Okeniyi, who played Thresh in The Hunger Games, has signed on to play the son of Miles Dyson, who was the Director of Special Projects at Cyberdyne Systems and portrayed by Joe Morton in Terminator 2: Judgment Day. Dyson was the inventor of the neural-net processor, which would eventually lead to the development of Skynet. Due to this, he inadvertantly became the man most responsible for Judgment Day. His family was briefly seen in the film, before Dyson joined the T-800, Sarah Connor, and John Connor on a fatal quest to destroy Skynet. Okeniyi joins a cast that is said to feature the return of franchise star Arnold Schwarzenegger as the titular Terminator and adds Emilia Clarke (Game of Thrones) as Sarah Connor, Jai Courtney (Jack Reacher) as Kyle Reese, Jason Clarke (Public Enemies) as John Connor, and J.K. Jai Courtney photographed by Davis Factor for Flaunt MagazineNews broke today that 28 year-old rising star Jai Courtney won't have to turn down Terminator: Genesis as previously suspected due to his Divergent contract. He'll be able to make both Insurgent and the stupidly rebooting Terminator franchise. (I know I've said it about a dozen times but why on earth would anyone need to reboot a time travel franchise? You've got your "do-over!" right there in the narrative for chrissakes). The studios have worked out a deal and so he's officially on board Terminator: Genesis. He'll be taking over the role of Kyle Reese originated by Michael Biehn and later played by both Jonathan Jackson and Anton Yelchin. None of those three previous actors are anything alike so the role of our future savior's time travelling babydaddy is flexible you might say.

A new trailer for Doug Liman's ('The Bourne Identity') upcoming time loop thriller 'Edge of Tomorrow' has been revealed by Warner Bros. Tom Cruise ('Jack Reacher') stars in the movie as a military officer who for the time being finds himself inexplicably repeating his day over and over again only to get killed before the day is out. New Delhi, March 19: Bestselling author Lee Child has now revealed how he thought about Jack Reacher.
Reacher, who real name is Jim Grant, said that in 1995, after working for 18 years for Granada Television, he was made unemployed.
His bosses told him that due to restructuring his role as a presentation director had disappeared, however, he suspects that his reputation as a tough-talking trade union man had resulted in him being blacklisted.

The Rubicon prequel arrived in my inbox couple of days ago and I watched it with with very low expectations. But, after watching the 12-minute episode, consider me a huge fan of the concept. The project is a prequel to the 2012 Archaia and Meteor Entertainment graphic novel written by retired Army Major Mark Long (The Silence of our Friends), Seal Team Six founding member Dan Capel and writer/director Christopher McQuarrie (The Usual Suspects, Jack Reacher, Edge of Tomorrow). The project was first announced back in 2011 at NY Comic-Con as a transmedia project aiming for a feature length film and video game in addition to a graphic novel. In 2012, writer Mark Long teamed with writer/director Christopher McQuarrie (Jack Reacher) for the graphic novel Rubicon, a modern re-imagining of Akira Kurosawa’s seminal film, Seven Samurai. Swapping samurais for Navy SEALs, the story focuses on a group of five Seal operators who must defend the residents of a remote mountain village from the Taliban.
The ambitious undertaking was conceived as a transmedia project that would include not only the graphic novel, but also a feature film, a video game, and a web series. The latter, called Rubicon: The Beginning, premieres exclusively on Machinima today. You can check out the pilot episode below.

Neil Patrick Harris has described filming a sex scene with Rosamund Pike as "robotic".
The 40-year-old How I Met Your Mother actor will star alongside Pike and Ben Affleck in the upcoming movie adaptation of Gone Girl.
Speaking to Out magazine's April issue, Harris described filming the scene with the Jack Reacher actress in front of the director.
"We had to rehearse the sex scene with David [Fincher], like every inch of it - 'Then you put your mouth on his d**k here, and then this number of thrusts, and then you ejaculate'. It was weird because we're technically breaking down the sex scene," he explained.
"He wanted it to be almost robotic, that we know exactly where we are, position-wise, where everything goes. And yet, through all of that, the whole 'I'm gay' element was never even thought about."

Miles Teller and Jai Courtney are no strangers to the Hollywood movie making machine. Miles has won critical acclaim for roles in films such as "The Spectacular Now" and the upcoming Sundance hit "Whiplash" as well as candidly charm audiences in mainstream fare like "Footloose" and January's "That Awkward Moment." Courtney is an Aussie TV veteran who was "showcased" alongside Bruce Willis in "A Good Day to Die Hard" and had supporting roles in "Jack Reacher" and "I, Frankenstein." James Mangold (3:10 To Yuma, The Wolverine) is in negotiations to direct a film adaptation of John D. MacDonald’s The Deep Blue Good-By, according to Deadline. The book was the first of a 21-part mystery series starring lead character Travis McGee, and Fox is hoping to launch a franchise with it. They believe Travis Mcgee has the potential to become a character like Jason Bourne, Jack Ryan, or- more recently- Jack Reacher, that can anchor a series of films.
At one stage, Leonardo DiCaprio was set to play him, but that fell through due to the actor’s schedule. DiCaprio will remain onboard as a producer, though. So if Mangold does sign on the dotted line, it’s safe to say the hunt for the right guy to portray McGee will begin.

James Mangold is in negotiations to direct an adaptation of John D. MacDonald's 1964 novel The Deep Blue Good-by, which was the first in a long-running series of books that centered on Travis McGee.
Travis McGee lives on a houseboat in Fort Lauderdale dubbed The Busted Flush, taking on "salvage consultant" jobs whenever he is running low on money, recovering lost items for clients for half of the profits. When he meets the battered Lois, he tries to track down her abusive boyfriend, a journey which becomes far more violent and complicated than he imagined. The character, who appeared in 21 of John D. MacDonald's books, is seen as the precursor to other popular literary heroes such as Jack Reacher and Spenser: For Hire, who has a penchant of helping out damsels in distress during his adventures.

After portraying slick, ambitious FBI agent Anthony Amado in David O.
