Germany: Yusra Mardini Flying towards her Olympic dream ​

It's the journey of a lifetime... not-so-average teenager Yusra Mardini is now flying to Brazil, where she'll be swimming for gold with the first-ever Refugee Olympic Team.

We support Yusra and #TeamRefugees at Rio 2016!

Team Refugees:
10 refugees who fled horrors we can only imagine have overcome adversity to excel in their sports. Along the way they demonstrated Olympic values of determination, courage and inspiration, to win the honour of participating in the first-ever Refugee Olympic Team.

Now they are on a journey to the Rio 2016 Olympic Games – although their story won't end in Brazil.
