The CBS All Access reboot of Star Trek has added a crewmember.
Star Trek Discovery has cast Michelle Yeoh, best known for Ang Lee's Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon. She also appeared in Netflix's Marco Polo, Tomorrow Never Dies and Memoirs of a Geisha.
It's unclear what role she will play. The show features the franchise's Enterprise, now known as the U.S.S. Discovery. The drama will introduce new characters seeking new worlds and new civilizations while exploring the dramatic contemporary themes that have been a signature of the franchise since its inception in 1966.
