Girl Meets World Review: We’re All Gonna Be Stars!

Now that Season 3 of Girl Meets World has officially wrapped production, I’m as enthusiastic as anyone for there to be a Season 4 renewal (with a few provisos). This is a show that teaches important lessons, but occasionally splits its emotional focus a bit. By the end this week the lesson was confusing, and certain endings felt like they should be a continuation to come. Who knew an episode which started off with Maya committing a felony would go off track? In order to get her mother a part in a film, Maya commits a teensy weensy little felony.

It’s every conspiracy theorist’s dream come true to be able to even get close to proving something. Using archive footage from some of the most historic moments in our nations’s history, Hawaii Five-0 set the bar high this week reaching more than 50 years into the past. Let’s go back to a time to visit one of our more

Last Man Standing Review: “My Father The Car”

Last Man Standing, in its old age, seems to have gotten a bit emotional. It’s not a bad direction to take things, at all. Really, it makes the characters feel more human and relatable. As the show goes on, it has only gotten better at telling emotional stories that are still funny and true to character, which has turned out to be one of my favorite things about it. This week on Last Man Standing: Chuck’s dad recently passed away, and left Chuck a classic car that they worked on together. Mike wants to buy the car from him, but so does Joe

Why Girl Meets World is Better than Boy Meets World

Girl Meets World is the new spinoff of the old favorite sitcom Boy Meets World and in some ways, it is actually better. Although not everyone would agree, just a few episodes are enough to take old fans on a trip down memory lane and continue the amazing story of Cory and Topanga. It’s wonderful to watch Corey now in the role of teacher, trying to instruct his students with an open mind. His daughter is in the role as star of the show and she’s doing a bang up job. Perhaps one of the most endearing aspects of this

Pitch Season 1 Episode 8 Review: “Unstoppable Forces & Immovable Objects”

Although I love diving deep and writing over 1,000 words every about the newest episode of Pitch every week, things are a little too crazy and hectic for me this week to write a full-length review of last night’s episode, “Unstoppable Forces & Immovable Objects.” However, I still want to share my thoughts with all of you, so in the interest of time, here are my quick, bullet-point thoughts on this week’s episode, which, overall, I really enjoyed. And don’t worry: I promise to write full-length reviews for the final two episodes of the season. One of my favorite things

Grey’s Anatomy Review: Alex’s Crossroads

Once upon a time Alex Karev was the disgusting narcissist intern everyone in the hospital thought would flunk out. Since then he’s become a brilliant pediatric surgeon and one of Meredith Grey’s closest friends. He has truly become indispensable to the people who care about him, but they might have to learn to live without him if he goes to prison. On the eve of Alex’s trial the doctors treat patients from a large building collapse. The collapse could have been prevented if the building manager had told anyone about the cracking foundation. Instead his decision to wait cost people

The Top 10 Daryl Dixon Moments in the History of The Walking Dead

AMC’s horror drama The Walking Dead has been an immense success. One of the primary characters on the show is Daryl Dixon, who also happens to be a viewer favorite on the series. The character is portrayed by Norman Reedus and is a keen hunter, navigator, and survivalist, which is why he’s the last surviving member of his family and he was able to make it through the outbreak. Because he’s so skilled, Daryl is one of the key members of Rick Grimes’ group. He’s also got an aggressive temper that’s not to be tested — on the occasions when

How to Get Away with Murder Fall Finale Review: Shocking Death Under the Sheet

18 November 2016 8:29 AM, PST

All season on How to Get Away with Murder, we’ve been teased through a series of flash-forwards that, mid-way through the season, one of our characters would die in a tragic series of events. Episodes have slowly revealed who isn’t dead under the sheet, but we’ve had to wait until now to find out exactly who kicked the bucket. Admittedly, I’m surprised. Let’s take a look at what happened in the fall finale, “Who’s Dead?” Let’s start with the big news: Wes is the dead member of the cast. I’ll admit that this threw me for a loop, because Wes has always been

Sheldon Cooper: Top 10 Moments on Season 10 So Far

18 November 2016 8:00 AM, PST

Jim Parsons plays Sheldon Lee Cooper on “The Big Bang Theory”. He is a strange young man with an Iq of 187, as well as a Ph.D., Sc.D., B.S., M.S., and an M.A. He’s a child prodigy from East Texas, who started college when he was only 11 and had only completed the fifth grade. A theoretical physicist, he has not only a master’s degree but also two doctorates. He is dedicated to strictly adhering to routine (Ocd maybe?) but has a total lack of understanding when it comes to humor, irony, and sarcasm. It comes across as lacking humility,

From the best to the worst, cosplay is without a doubt a popular pastime among fans of science fiction and fantasy genres alike. Whether a person dresses as their favorite superhero or a villain, there is no limit to the imagination when it comes to designing and flaunting the dedication a person has to their favorite movie, show, or comic. But when it comes to the always popular hit HBO series “Game of Thrones” the bar is often set so ridiculously high that many find themselves staring in awe at those who show the greatest attention to detail. Legends of Tomorrow: Back to the Wild West and Nate gets Superhero Costume

17 November 2016 10:13 PM, PST

Team Legends head back to the Wild West again in tonight’s episode of Legends of Tomorrow. Jonah Hex makes an appearance as he teams up with the Legends to take down Quentin Turnbull. Ray and Nate bond over Ray’s wise words about bravery and of how powers don’t make the hero. Also, Nate gets himself an awesome superhero costume from Ray at the end of the episode. Hello, Citizen Steel! The opening scene of the episode made me facepalm. A time pirate discovered a rare ore using a detecting device. In came Turnbull with intentions of killing said pirate. The

Dance Moms Review: Two Teams, Two Studios Part I

Photo credit: Dance Moms, Lifetime This week on Dance Moms, the Junior Elite team and their mothers rent a studio and team up with Abby’s rival. The week starts off with the junior elite team at the same 3rd Street Studio that Abby rented out while Aldc La was being built. There is no pyramid, for the obvious reason that Abby is not there. The junior elite team stuck to their word and indeed ditched Abby after their frustrations hit a peak at the last competition. Kira chooses Erin Babbs from Mdp as their group choreographer. The Big Bang Theory Review: “Geology Elevation” Makes Sheldon Jealous

17 November 2016 6:34 PM, PST

I’m not sure I’ll ever understand why I find The Big Bang Theory so funny. I’ve enjoyed the show’s last few seasons primarily because of the growth exhibited by the characters (Sheldon in particular). This episode was the exact opposite of that in every way. Sheldon was petty and childish like he always used to be. And yet, I found it hilarious as ever. This week on The Big Bang Theory: Howard discovers his old remote-control Stephen Hawking that he invented…much to the chagrin of his friends and colleagues. Bert wins a major grant instead of Sheldon, causing him to go into a fit

Blindspot Fall Finale Review: “Why Let Cooler Pasture Deform”

17 November 2016 1:17 PM, PST

It’s fall finale time for Blindspot, so it’s time to finally find out who the Sandstorm mole in the FBI really is. Let’s take a look at what happened in the mid-season finale, “Why Let Cooler Pasture Deform.” The episode opens with Jane and Roman on a Sandstorm mission, and we can really see the hold that the organization is beginning to have over Jane. More than ever, it’s going to be difficult for Jane to accomplish what she wants to for the FBI while keeping Sandstorm in the dark, and it’s super fun watching things play out in this way.

Frequency Season 1 Episode 7 Review: “Break, Break, Break”

17 November 2016 11:52 AM, PST

For the first six episodes of Frequency, Raimy and Frank have been at the center of all the show’s actions; everything has been seen through the eyes of the two Sullivans. However, “Break, Break, Break” changes that up a bit, giving Satch much more of a substantial role throughout the hour, as we learn how he transformed from the warmer, more thoughtful detective he was in 1996 into the hardened cop he is now in 2016. Frequency doesn’t completely turn its focus away from Raimy and Frank; the two of them are still integral to the major stories told within this

The Doctor Is In: Marvel’s Strangest Film Is Finally Here, and It’s Fantastic

17 November 2016 11:00 AM, PST

Going into Doctor Strange, it was a safe bet that I was going to like it.  The closest that Marvel’s come to striking out in their cinematic universe was Iron Man 2: a movie that was, if nothing else, fine.  Everything else has been varying shades of awesome, from the underrated Incredible Hulk to the meta-franchise’s magnum opus, The Avengers.  Even stuffy old Captain America.  Even that movie with the talking racoon. And this movie had more than the Marvel brand going for it.  It featured Benedict Cumberbatch: an incredibly talented actor uniquely suited for the title role.  It was

South Park Season 20 Episode 8 Review: “Members Only”

17 November 2016 9:50 AM, PST

South Park is always a lot more interesting when it’s an election season, and that primarily happens because of how much the presidential race dominates the topics of episodes. The election is the most important event to come around every four years, and the show never fails to touch on what it thinks about the state of the country and the possible future leaders. This season and the last have only been more extreme because of the two candidates the country ended up with, and last week’s results really set a lot in motion for South Park. Between the events in America

The Goldbergs Review: Thanksgiving with K.I.T.T.

17 November 2016 9:05 AM, PST

The best episodes of The Goldbergs are often those that let us spend a holiday with the family, and some of my favorites through the years have been those about Thanksgiving. We’re in for another treat this year, so let’s take a look at this week’s new episode, “Ho-ly K.I.T.T.” The main story in the episode surrounds Adam’s love of the cars in action shows, but specifically K.I.T.T. from Knight Rider. It turns out that the car will be passing through town, and Adam decides that he can’t pass up the opportunity to see it himself. Unfortunately, he can’t make it out

The Amazing First Trailer for Ghost in the Shell Is Finally Here

17 November 2016 9:00 AM, PST

Mamoru Oshii’s Ghost in the Shell has been part of the bedrock of the science fiction community since it first hit theaters in 1995.  As much as it admittedly was just the latest in a long line of action anime appealing to a relatively niche market outside of Japan, it was a meditation on the Human condition and mankind’s relationship with technology.  The Matrix borrowed – some say stole – many of the film’s ideas and visuals, repackaging it for an American audience. Although long sought after by fans of the original, the American remake of the film has been

General Hospital Spoilers: Is Alexis Drugged by a Rapist?

General Hospital is going to show us some serious issues in the next few days. The first is Alexis. She’s been dealing with a downward spiral ever since Valentin arrived, and she’s been drinking again. She’s going to black out again, and we don’t think things are looking good for her in the next few weeks. She’s upset, and she’s in a bar after sending Jax home. She’s going to keep drinking her pain away at the bar, and she’s going to drink so much she passes out. Unfortunately for Alexis, Tom is a well-known rapist and he’s going to
