Willem Dafoe Explains How Justice League Sets Up His Role In James Wan's Aquaman

We're now exactly one year away from the release of Justice League (here's hoping Zack Snyder unveils something to mark the occasion a little later today), and while much of the movie remains a mystery, we do know that it will take us to Atlantis. While there, we'll meet both Mera and Vulko, with the latter set to be played by Willem Dafoe, an actor who is no stranger to the world of comic book movies.  Talking to The Guardian, Dafoe confirmed that he'll return as the character in Aquaman and shed some light on how his role in that movie will differ to what sounds like a small cameo in Justice League. "Well, Justice League is very particular because it’s an ensemble movie and my character is being introduced here in order to be a principal role in Aquaman," he told the site recently. "These films are a different experience. »

10 Best Moments In Marvel And DC's 2016 Superhero Movies

We kicked things off with the R-Rated Deadpool (a movie no one expected to be as successful as it ultimately was), and followed that with two more critical and commercial hits from Marvel Studios in the form of Captain America: Civil War and Doctor Strange. Warner Bros. also kicked off their DC Films Universe, though their fortunes weren't as good! This was supposed to be the start of great things for that brand, but while Suicide Squad performed a little better than expected at the box office, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice did not, and both received »

Vin Diesel Describes The "Goofy, Adorable" Baby Groot We'll Meet In Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 2

The adult Groot was a standout in Guardians of the Galaxy, but not even Marvel Studios anticipated just how popular the baby version introduced in the mid-credits scene would be! When we next see the sentient alien tree, he'll have grown up a little, but as we saw in the trailer, he's going to still be very young (and rocking an awesome jacket which is somehow identical to the one worn by Star-Lord). Talking to Collider, voice actor Vin Diesel shed some light on how the two Groots differ. "Yeah, there is a difference. He couldn’t be more naive as Baby Groot. I always think of the Groot that we saw on the first Guardians as a college-level Groot, so he’s not fully grown yet, but he’s a man. And once he sacrifices himself at the end of the movie, now he has to start all over, »

King Kong Battles All Manner Of Monsters In Epic New Trailer For Kong: Skull Island

They've been teasing us for days, but Warner Bros. has finally released a new trailer for Kong: Skull Island. In it, we get a first look at a number of very unusual creatures, and it's now apparent that King Kong's home is infested with monsters. It almost looks like he's protecting the world from them, but that's clearly not going to stop the invading humans from trying to take him down once and for all.  Speaking of which, the humans get a fair bit of screentime here, and the trailer does an excellent job of spotlighting Kong: Skull Island's incredible cast. It's Kong who is obviously the real attraction though! The impressive cast of Kong: Skull Island includes Tom Hiddleston, Samuel L. Jackson, Brie Larson, John Goodman, and John C. Reilly, and it’s currently set to be released worldwide on March 10th, 2017. »

Batman: The Killing Joke Star Mark Hamill Shares His Thought's On Jared Leto's Joker

Jared Leto's take on The Joker has divided fans, though with much of his performance left on the cutting room floor, whether or not we can fairly judge the Oscar winning actor's take on the iconic villain in Suicide Squad is hard to say. However, Mark Hamill, who has played the Clown Prince of Crime longer than anyone else, has now shared his thoughts on Leto's performance. So, what's his verdict?  During an interview with Polygon, Hamill reportedly told the site that he loved his take on The Joker, but did add that he's yet to see a version that's made him say, "That was terrible." Hamill instead explained that he looks at each iteration for what that version needs to be at the time we meet them.  "Everyone brings a different spin to the character and you have to look at each script separately," Hamill said. "I don »

Batman Is Predictably Front And Center On The Awesome Cover Art For Justice League Dark

The cover art for Justice League Dark is finally here, and yes, it puts Batman right in the centre. To be fair, it does sound like he plays a key role in the movie and using him to help sell it regardless of how much screen time he has is a pretty smart move on the part of Warner Bros. Animation. The studio has also announced that it will debut digitally on January 24th, 2017 and on DVD and Blu-ray on February 7th, 2017. With any luck, this will be successful enough to help move along the live-action version. In Justice League Dark, Matt Ryan returns to the role of John Constantine alongside Jason O’Mara as Batman, Camilla Luddington as Zatanna, Nicholas Turturro as Deadman, Ray Chase as Jason Blood/Etrigan, Roger R. Cross as John Stewart/Swamp Thing, Jeremy Davies as Ritchie Simpson, Rosario Dawson as Wonder Woman, Jerry O’Connell as Superman, »

Feature Adaptation Of Jeff Smith's Bone In The Works From Kung Fu Panda Director Mark Osborne

According to THR, Mark Osborne (The Little Prince, Kung Fu Panda) has been tapped to direct an animated take on Jeff Smith's Bone for Warner Bros. Even if you're not familiar with the comics, chances are you've seen the likeness of one of the little white characters at some point. The multi-award winning series ran from 1991 to 2004, and has enjoyed cult status for many years since. The story focuses on the Bone cousins (Fone, Phoney and Smiley) and their adventures in the wilderness with a girl named Thorn Harvestar. “Bone is very special and unconventional because it blends elements together that you don’t necessarily expect — soft, little comic characters and epic high-stakes fantasy adventure," Osborne explains. "To carry this into the cinematic realm presents both an opportunity to represent what readers of all ages have loved about the series, while pushing animated storytelling into exciting and different areas. »

Get A Better Look At Donald Pierce's Robotic Arm In This Latest Black And White Logan Image

The last couple of Logan images posted to the WponX Instagram page haven't been especially revealing, but this latest one does give us a close-up of Reaver leader Donald Pierce's (Narcos actor Boyd Holbrook) robotic arm. In the comics, Pierce is a full cyborg who despises mutants and has caused The X-Men all sorts of problems over the years as member of not only The Reavers, but also The Hellfire Club and The Purifies. The Logan trailer would seem to suggest that the character will take more of a henchman type role in the movie, but either way we can definitely look forward to seeing him face-off against Wolverine at some point.   Metal A photo posted by @wponx on Nov 16, 2016 at 7:23am Pst   Logan also stars Hugh Jackman, Patrick Stewart, Richard E. Grant, Stephen Merchant, Dafne Keen, Eriq La Salle, Elise Neal, and Elizabeth Rodriguez. The final Wolverine movie »

New Suicide Squad Images Give Us An Up Close And Personal Look At Harley Quinn's Tattoos

The Extended Cut of Suicide Squad is now available on Digital HD, but based on what we've heard so far, the extra footage doesn't really the same impact that the scenes added to Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice's Ultimate Edition did. Regardless, Batman-News has now come across a very cool special feature which is currently only available to those who buy the film via Vudu on their iOS app.  As you can see, the images below provide a great look at Harley Quinn's various tattoos, something cosplayers - or admirers of Margot Robbie's body - will definitely appreciate. Unfortunately, not of these offer up any new Easter Eggs, but they're all still pretty cool. You have to believe that there are probably some fans out there who may actually get a real tattoo based on some of these designs!  »
