From a single campus in Melbourne with just 400 students in 1961, Monash has grown into an ecosystem of campuses, education centres and partnerships spanning the globe. With approximately 60,000 students (and 290,000 alumni) from over 170 countries, Monash is now Australia's largest university.

Campuses are located throughout Victoria and international campuses operate in Malaysia and in South Africa, with centres in the People's Republic of China, Italy and India. Each provides an environment rich in culture and identifies and nurtures talent – turning that talent into ability.

Learning at Monash

What students want – and need – from a university differs between individuals. In the Times Higher Education World University Rankings (2015-2016) Monash was ranked 73 overall, and is ranked in the top 50 universities globally in the 'Engineering and Technology', 'Arts and Humanities' and 'Clinical, Pre-clinical and Health' disciplines.
