Ghostbusters: Afterlife sequel: Finn Wolfhard, Mckenna Grace prepare to revisit their characters
Earlier this year, Sony announced that they will be releasing a sequel to Ghostbusters: Afterlife (watch it Here) on Wednesday, December 20, 2023. Filming will be beginning soon so the project can meet that December release, and in recent release dates Finn Wolfhard and Mckenna Grace were asked about returning to reprise the roles of Trevor and Phoebe in the sequel. Both of them pointed out that the characters will be several years older than when we last saw them.

Speaking with CinemaBlend, Wolfhard said, “I don’t even think they have a title yet, from what I know of. But I’m excited to kind of play an older

A New Director Comes On Board To Ghostbusters: Afterlife 2
Ghostbusters: Afterlife was a breath of fresh air when it came out in 2021. Originally directed by Jason Reitman, the series was a return to form that didn’t pretend the previous films didn’t exist – well, at least not Ghostbusters and Ghostbusters II – and added a fresh chapter to the franchise. The latest reboot only banked 204 million, though considering that it came out in the middle of the pandemic likely means that most families weren’t interested in returning to the theaters so soon. It helps that the production budget was only 70 million; thus Ghostbusters: Afterlife was a

After helping co-write the previous movie, Ghostbusters: Afterlife 2 gets a new, but familiar, director in the form of Gil Kenan. Prior to teaming with Jason Reitman to bring the sci-fi comedy franchise back to the big screen, Kenan made a name for himself with a wide range of horror genre projects, including his feature directorial debut Monster House and the 2015 Poltergeist remake. Kenan was previously confirmed to be returning to co-write Ghostbusters: Afterlife 2 with Reitman, though that won't be all he's doing for the film.

Juno: An Abortion Movie That Isn't About Abortion

Juno: An Abortion Movie That Isn't About Abortion
Today marks 15 years since Diablo Cody and Jason Reitman graced our eyes and ears with the story of a 16-year-old Juno MacGuff (Elliot Page) who gets accidentally pregnant and gives the baby up for adoption. During these years we’ve discussed the soundtrack, the performances, and the dialogue that seems to have come from a mushroom trip. The film is even used in the Irish secondary school curriculum. However, an element of the film that hasn't been as easy to discuss but is now more relevant than ever is its portrayal of abortion. Juno is essentially an abortion film that actually really isn't about abortion. It doesn't staunchly state whether it's a “pro-choice” or “pro-life” story. It’s a movie that kind of just says, "Hey, abortion is gonna be in this film, but we’re not gonna let it take up the entire narrative."

The Willow Series Used Ghostbusters II As A 'Point Of Reference' Nearly Every Day Behind The Scenes [Exclusive]
Warwick Davis' Willow is set to once again grace our screens before the year is out, this time in full streaming mode. "Willow," the 1988 fantasy adventure that first introduced us to Davis' aspiring sorcerer, is being revived in the form of a Disney+ show of the same name. Set to debut on November 30, 2022, the show promises to deliver all-new Warwick Davis' improvisations alongside all the charm of the original as Willow once again sets out on a quest surrounded by the usual group of enchanted fantasy archetypes. And it seems this time, keeping up with the ongoing trend of ever-escalating nostalgia hits in modern movies, there will be a hefty dose of 80s sentimentality working at the heart of the show — perhaps unsurprisingly propelled by another beloved movie of the decade: "Ghostbusters II"

As a kid, I saw "Ghostbusters" and "Ghostbusters II" as equal gateways into a magical, charming, and often downright terrifying netherworld.
