A prize puzzle is an interactive online puzzle with the chance to win £50 in the weekly draw or £100 in the monthly draw. There are three new prize puzzles available each Monday at 00.01 for Quick, Cryptic and General Knowledge crosswords. You can find the prize puzzles by visiting the Prize Puzzle area of the website. All winners are chosen through a random draw where all correct and complete entries are eligible to win.
Top
Unfortunately only UK subscribers can enter prize puzzle draws.
Top
To enter the weekly prize draw, subscribers must complete a prize puzzle correctly and submit it online. A confirmation message will be displayed on screen to confirm your entry has been submitted. Incomplete or incorrect solutions are invalid. Subscribers will receive one entry into the draw for each prize puzzle correctly submitted.
Top
You receive one entry into the weekly prize draw for each correct prize puzzle you complete. There are three prize puzzles each week; therefore you have a maximum of three entries in total. The Difficulty Rating is set automatically, according to the average length of time taken by subscribers who have solved that puzzle.
The User Rating is input by the subscriber. When one closes a puzzle, it asks you "How did you find this puzzle?" There is a drop-down menu with ratings ranging from "Extremely pleasurable" to "Downright infuriating". The subscriber chooses the rating and then clicks "Rate!". The system then arrives at an average User Rating.
