Northumberlandia in Cramlington

Cramlington

Cramlington is a town in Northumberland and during World War 1, No. 36 Home Defence Squadron, which protected the North East of England, was based there. In 1964 it was proclaimed a New Town after large housing estates were built. It is now home to Manor Walks shopping centre, Concordia leisure centre and huge land sculpture Northumberlandia.
