UAS students donate Polar Plunge proceeds to AWARE
Juneau Empire - This spring, the University of Alaska Southeast Student Activities Board voted unanimously to donate their annual Polar Plunge funds to AWARE (Aiding Women in Abuse and Rape Emergencies). The students raised over $2,000 for us, which funded AWARE’s Clothesline Project that you may have seen on display during April for Sexual Assault Awareness Month. ...More

Your voice is important!
University of Alaska President Jim Johnsen invites your feedback on a proposal in response to current challenges to the UA budget. Strategic Pathways is a framework for a leaner and more streamlined university system on the UA Statewide website. Chancellor Rick Caulfield strongly encourages staff, faculty and students to review the document. Strategic Pathways will evolve over the next several months, and your input on the proposed focus areas for UAS will be critical to the final outcome.
