Sealaska Corporation is seeking a Records Analyst to assist in providing collaborative support for Subsidiaries Records Coordinators as well as our Legal/Corporate Secretary, Compliance Manager, Accounting/Finance team, and Shareholder Relations personnel in acting as a coordinator for transferring office records into storage. This person will be initiating records disposals for approvals and provide assistance to our Records Manager by using RIM best practices in support of Sealaska’s company-wide RIM program. This is a full-time role in our Corporate offices in Juneau, AK, slated to begin as soon as possible. 

1. Assist with the development, implementation, and utilization of the classification scheme, policy and procedures, and records retention schedule.
2. Develop, maintain, and improve relationships with information technologies, internal management/staff, and other stakeholders.
3. Research and interpret local, state, and federal laws, regulations, and considerations for updating retention schedules.
4. Identify records having potential archival value through using archival best practices.
5. Provide input to disaster planning efforts by assessing and documenting critical business processes and identifying vital records.
6. Assists other departments and Records Coordinators with records program issues and records storage needs; record disposals, and answer questions within scope of authority.
7. Performs various administrative duties required to updating the appropriate logs, databases, and indexes; scanning records into a database; and providing support for receptionist desk.
8. Maintain quality and effectiveness when experiencing changes in assigned responsibilities, work environment, or conditions affecting the organization.
9. Perform Records Management Training at the direction of the Records Manager.

1. Knowledge of typical corporate organizational structure, operations, policies and procedures.

2. Demonstrate organizational skills by utilizing office best practices, procedures and methods.

3. Knowledgeable in project management/coordination.

4. Ability to possess high work ethic standards with emphasis in confidentiality.

5. Knowledgeable of Microsoft Office software especially in Excel.

6. Good oral and written communication.

7. Promote collaboration toward effective teamwork to achieve organizational goals.

8. Skill in operating office equipment and copiers.

9. Communicate and interact with Sealaska employees to provide effective customer service.

10. Ability to lift 30-35 pounds of boxed records onto carts.

Education, Experience, Certifications, and License required:

- Associates Degree in Business Administration, Office Management, Librarian Technician, or Organizational Management and two years of corporate or similar organization experience.

- OR-

Four years administrative assistant and computer experience in corporate environment or similar organization.

- Valid Alaska Driver’s License that meets corporate insurance criteria
