TV-MA for violence and gore, language, drug use, disturbing images, and some sexual content including rape

Some, often explicit - themes deal with controversial sexual topics too, including prostitution and rape. And like NYPD Blue, there tends to be moments where someone sees a man or a woman's backside or butt.

Instances of this include a streaking prank in the police station, a strip search of a male suspect, various female bed-buddies and people making out. Overall, the show tends to deal with the themes more than actually showing the actual events.

8/10

Frequent, often graphic. Many gory crime scenes are shown. There are a few instances of torture. Season 3 features an extremely disturbing and horrifying scene of rape.

6/10

Due to being basic cable, there are no F-bombs but there is still tons of inappropriate behavior and disrespectful terms aimed at minorities, gay people and simple name-calling that you still will hear used on network TV nowadays.

Overall, the most offensive terms you will tend to hear on certain occasions are "nigger", "faggot," "shit" and "dick." The word "cocksucker" was also used in the pilot as well as another Season 3 episode.

Cocksucker was also used in "Partners" and "Co-Pilot".

Fuck was used in"Homewrecker".

7/10

Drug use and references are common, in a few instances quite graphic.

8/10

The show is noted for being extremely intense, suspenseful, and sometimes disturbing.
