Far Cry

Everyone with eyes to see, ears to hear, and brains to appreciate advanced artificial intelligence knew Ubi Soft and Crytek had something promising when Far Cry came along. Some goons stole your sister and have her held on a tropical island. Unfortunately for them, you're some kind of gun-toting militaristic mass murderer who doesn't so much appreciate the sister stealing. Too bad for goon squad -- hooray for gamers. Far Cry uses vehicles, destructible environments, enormous landscapes, dynamic lighting, unscripted AI, and a multitude of weapons to make its mark, right on your face.
