Mirzya to premiere at London Film Festival

The Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra's directorial venture Mirzya that marks the debut of Anil Kapoor's son Harshvardhan Kapoor has been picking up steam since the unveiling of the actor's first look. Now we hear that the film is all set to be featured on the international stage with the premiere of the film at the 60th BFI London Film Festival. In fact the premiere of the film is scheduled to happen on Thursday October 6, where the film's director will be joined by leading stars of the film, Harshvardhan Kapoor and Saiyami Kher. Commenting on the same Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra stated that Mirzya now has the perfect partner in BFI with an added honour to have a European premiere at the Lff in October. Amitabh Bachchan explains why he wrote the open letter to his grand daughters

Amitabh Bachchan penned a heart-warming letter to his grand-daughters on Teacher's Day explaining to them why they must lead their lives as they wish and not bother with societal disapproval. The letter has come into some amount of disapproval from a section of the media which feels the letter is part of the publicity for Big B's new release Pink. But Big B is characteristically clear-headed on the issue. "What has been expressed in that letter has been within me from time. I have had such thoughts and beliefs always and have followed them in my environ and in my family. Working on Pink put me in direct touch with those emotions." Hrithik Roshans blind action sequences in Kaabil to set new standards in Bollywood

For the past two weeks, Hrithik Roshan has been completely consumed by the climactic scenes of his next release Kaabil. But this was a climax like no other. In Kaabil, Hrithik plays a blind man. The stunts had to be designed accordingly, and yet they had to be spectacularly heroic. Apparently the action for Hrithik's blind character is based on the characters heightened ability of hearing to compensate for his lack of visual power. Aamir Big B Rahman to launch Global Citizen India on September 12

First ever Global Citizen Festival will be held in India on November 19 which happens to be World Toilet Day. Many Indian and international headliners including the band Coldplay will be taking part in this Noble initiative. Baloch Pakistani sufi singers for Rakeysh Mehras Mirzya

Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra's Mirzya is a full-blown musical with composer Shankar Mahadevan along with his partners Ehsaan Noorani and Loy Mendosa, pulling out all stops to make the legendary love tale of Mirza and Sahibaan as epic in proportion as possible. The title song alone involved the blended talents of Sufi singers from India, Pakistan and Balochistan. While Daler Mehndi and the upcoming young Sufi singers The Nooran sisters, Jyoti and Sultan from Jalandhar comprise the Indian contingent of singers for the title track, from Pakistan came the legendary Sufi singer Sain Zahoor who sings predominantly at religious shrines. Mamta Kulkarni hires international lawyers to clear name in drug bust

Well, now we hear that Kulkarni has hired international legal counsel to help clear her name in the case. Aankhen 2 producer Gaurang Doshis legal counsel negates contempt of court claim

Just yesterday, there were reports stating that the Aankhen sequel had run into legal trouble with producer Gaurang Doshi being slapped with a Contempt of Court order and also that the cast members of the film had been served notices. Now clarifying on the same Gaurang Doshi's legal counsel states, "Firstly, there is no contempt of court order against my client, there is only a show cause notice issued by the Hon`ble Court which my client shall be replying to. Secondly, the statement that legal notice have been sent to the director and to the actors also seems to be false to the best of the acknowledge of my client. Thirdly, the statement that my client`s previous counsel Chirag Modi had informed the court on August 9, 2016 that his client had nothing to do with Aankhen 2, is also absolutely false. Emraan Hashmi to undergo military training for Captain Nawab

Earlier, we had reported that Emraan Hashmi would soon be seen playing a man in uniform in his next venture Captain Nawab. Well, now we hear that the actor will be undergoing some serious prep work to play an army man in the film that is inspired by true events. Talking about his prep work, Emraan stated that since he has never played a character that is so physically demanding before, he will need to do a certain form of military training for a couple of months. In fact, Hashmi will undergo a boot camp-style workshop too which includes army training and learning how to use rifles and guns. Apart from the physicality required for the role, Emraan's character in the film will also demand a certain body language that has to suit his part. Shah Rukh lends his voice for Sonu Soods film Tutak Tutak Tutiya

Coldplay concert in India to feature Deepika Padukone ARRahman Aamir Khan Amitabh Bachchan and more

Last year, Coldplay band made a surprise visit to India and shocked everyone. The band was here to shoot a music video titled 'Hymn for the Weekend' which also featured Sonam Kapoor for brief moment. Kayoze Irani directs father Boman Irani for an advertisement

Gaurang Doshi receives Contempt Of Court notice by Bombay Hc for launching and promoting Aankhen 2

Sonu Nigam Atif Aslam to tour Us and Canada
