  • What is X-Ray?
    X-Ray is a feature that enables Amazon Video customers to easily and seamlessly learn more about the video they’re watching. It is designed to enrich the viewing experience of movies and TV shows by surfacing IMDb content into the Amazon Video playback experience. X-Ray helps to answer questions like: “who’s that actor?”, “what else were they in?”, “what song is that?”, and “who’s that character?” X-Ray also provides viewers with fun, informative, and interesting trivia related to the title you are watching.

  • How do I use X-Ray?
    By bringing up player controls during playback you will be able to access X-Ray Quick View. X-Ray Quick View provides an overview of which actors, songs, and trivia are present in the current scene. By opening “View All,” you will be able to access the full X-Ray experience, allowing you to learn more about cast and filmographies, characters and biographies, facts and trivia, and music, which also has the option to purchase/add to your Amazon Music library.

  • Where can I find X-Ray?
    X-Ray is currently available in the Amazon Video app on Fire Tablets, Fire TV devices, Android and iOS mobile devices, and the web (HTML 5 enabled browsers).

  • Is X-Ray available on downloaded titles?
    Yes. If X-Ray was enabled at the time of download, it will be available offline.

  • Is X-Ray available in my country?
    X-Ray is currently available in the United States, the United Kingdom, Germany and Austria.

  • How many titles have X-Ray?

  • How can I tell if a video is X-Ray enabled?
    You can tell that a title is X-Ray enabled by locating the X-Ray badge that can be found on any title detail page.

  • Is Amazon Video the only place that I can find X-Ray?
    Yes. X-Ray is only available on movies or TV shows through the Amazon Video service through either owning, renting, or streaming Prime or third-party subscriptions (Showtime, Starz, etc.).

  • Can I turn X-Ray off?
    X-Ray is always available, but can be hidden by dismissing the player controls. On the web, you have the option to collapse the X-Ray Quick View by clicking the drop-down symbol next to it.

  • How do I submit a correction?
    X-Ray identifies almost all credited actors, characters, music and trivia. If you find a missing/incorrect actor or song you can enter a submission via the IMDb website. Additionally, you can submit facts or trivia through this same process. You can find a guide for doing this here.
