Watch: The Academy's Video About Legendary Title Designer Dan Perri

"Fonts that are big and bold are more powerful..." It's always great to see behind-the-scenes people profiled in meaningful ways. The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences has been making outstanding videos called Originals focusing on various filmmaking stories and profiling many of the remarkable people who create the movies we love. This one is about titled designer Dan Perri, who created the title design for Star Wars as well as Taxi Driver and Close Encounters of the Third Kind and so many other films. I love his explanation for Scorsese's After Hours, how his design actually builds up your heart rate so you're then ready to watch the film. Another stellar reminder that every single aspect of a film is important. Enjoy. New Trailer for Indie Comedy 'Brother Nature' with Bobby Moynihan

"We're brothers now." A new comedy from the people behind Saturday Night Live. Brother Nature is an indie comedy produced by SNL's Lorne Michaels, featuring at least four SNL cast members. The story involves a straight-laced politician named Roger, played by Taran Killam, who goes on a retreat to a cabin with his dream girl, played by Gillian Jacobs. But in the woods they meet his soon-to-be-brother-in-law, played by Bobby Moynihan, and his family, and things get wild as expected. Also featuring Rita Wilson, Bill Pullman, Ellen Bloodworth, Sarah Burns, Giancarlo Esposito, Rachael Harris, Kumail Nanjiani, Kenan Thompson and David Wain. This is chock full of really dumb humor that makes me wonder if it's going to feel like a very drawn out SNL skit that just doesn't work on the big screen. Have fun. First Full Trailer for Technology Thriller 'I.T.' Starring Pierce Brosnan

"Change everything – passwords, codes – secure this place!" Another one of these. Rlj Entertainment has released the first official trailer for a film called I.T. (already a boring title), a technology thriller about a successful business owner whose life is sabotaged by a mentally deranged It guy. Pierce Brosnan stars, along with James Frecheville, Anna Friel, Stefanie Scott, Michael Nyqvist, and Jason Barry. This is yet another fear-mongering "technology is scary!" movies, where it seems like the people behind it don't even actually understand how most of this technology works. Of course the It guy is creepy, and of course this is from the same guy who made A Good Day to Die Hard. I don't recommend it, only if you're curious. Review: Ayer's 'Suicide Squad' Barely Keeps Dcu's Head Above Water

"We're the bad guys." It's a common phrase heard throughout Suicide Squad, the latest expansion of the DC Cinematic Universe after Zack Snyder's Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. The characters making up the eponymous team here are on constant alert to remind us just which side of the morality coin they prefer. Seeing "the worst of the worst" being forced to team up is an idea that works wonders on paper. Hell, it even works wonders in execution at least part of the time. But Suicide Squad, for all of its entertainment value, becomes the latest casualty to studio interference and the dreaded, editing machine. What's left over has just enough verve and edge to let us in on the film that could have been, a potentially great film, too, and the charisma felt from those characters goes a long way. Must Watch: First Teaser for Christopher Nolan's WWII Film 'Dunkirk'

It's time for our first glimpse at Nolan's new World War II movie. Warner Bros has released the first short teaser trailer for Christopher Nolan's WWII action thriller titled Dunkirk, about the Dunkirk evacuation in 1940. When Allied soldiers from Belgium, Britain and France were surrounded by the German army during a fierce battle in France at the start of World War II, they figured out how to evacuate as many as possible by boat across the English channel. The full cast includes Mark Rylance, Tom Hardy, Cillian Murphy, Kenneth Branagh, James D'Arcy, Harry Styles, Aneurin Barnard, Jack Lowden, Adam Long. As expected, this looks epic in scale and it still has the gritty Nolan feel to it. I can't wait to see more from this. First Trailer for Trippy Midnight Film 'Antibirth' with Natasha Lyonne

"Yeah I don't think anyone's seen something like this before..." IFC Midnight has released a trailer for the weird Sundance Midnight film Antibirth, a wacky drug-trip-gone-wrong horror-comedy starring Natasha Lyonne and Chloë Sevigny. The twisted pregnancy plot involves a "wild-eyed stoner" waking up after a seriously "wild night of partying with symptoms of a strange illness and recurring visions as she struggles to get a grip on reality." The full cast includes Meg Tilly, Emmanuel Kabongo, Corey Pascall and Mark Webber. There's some totally frickin' wacky, disgusting and completely insane stuff in this trailer, I don't even know what to make of it. But if you're into trippy, crazy, unlike-anything-else horror - give this a shot. Must Watch: Trailer for Inspiring Documentary 'The Eagle Huntress'

Witness one girl's dream take flight. Sony Classics has unveiled the first trailer for The Eagle Huntress, directed by Otto Bell, one of my favorite documentaries out of the Sundance FIlm Festival this year. The film follows the story of a young teenage girl in Mongolia named Aisholpan, living in the mountains with her family, who becomes the first ever female "Eagle Hunter" in over 2,000 years male dominance in their culture. Beyond telling an inspiring and exhilarating story, the film features some beautiful cinematography of the Mongolian region where she lives. I was totally enamored by this documentary when I first saw it at Sundance, and I've been raving about it ever since. I hope it finds a big audience here in the Us and inspires many others. Tatiana Maslany and Dane DeHaan in 'Two Lovers and a Bear' Trailer

"There's a blizzard coming." The first trailer has debuted thanks to Tiff for a film called Two Lovers and a Bear, a relationship drama set in the small town near the North Pole. Tatiana Maslany and Dane DeHaan star as two "star-crossed lovers" and lost souls that end up together at the top of the world. Of course, things can't be perfect and their pasts catch up to them, forcing them to make some rash decisions. There are some shots in this that seem straight out of The Thing, and an actual polar bear makes an appearance a couple of times. How the bears plays into the plot, I don't know, but it's cool to see even though it seems odd. The film didn't get great reviews out of Cannes but a few of you may be interested in it. Clearing Land Mines in Trailer for Danish WWII Drama 'Land of Mine'

"Do you think I feel sorry for you?" Sony Pictures Classics has debuted an official Us trailer for a Danish drama called Land of Mine, set near the end of World War II. The story is about a group of very young German POWs captured by the Danish army who are forced to clear thousand of land mines from a beach. The full cast includes Roland Moller, Mikkel Boe Folsgaard, Louis Hofmann, Joel Basman, Emil Belton, and Oskar Belton. As this trailer shows, the film looks like a very moving and tense story about these boys learning that "the war is far from over" even though they've stopped fighting and firing guns. I like the way the trailer ends with silence, plus that "boom" joke at the end, powerful stuff. Worth a watch. Watch: Theatrical Us Trailer for Danish Comedy Sequel 'Klown Forever'

"You don't know where its tongue's been." Drafthouse Films has unveiled the full theatrical Us trailer for the film Klown Forever, the sequel to Danish comedy Klovn: The Movie about two awkward friends who go on a canoe trip together. This next one reunites co-stars and best friends Casper Christensen and Frank Hvam, who take a trip to Los Angeles this time around to seek fame and glory in Hollywood. Casper decides to pursue a solo career in the City of Angels, but Frank follows along in hopes of getting his friend back, and of course there's tons of shenanigans along the way. You know this is solid since Drafthouse Films is releasing it, though it might also be good to catch up with the first Klown before continuing on. Have fun. Snowfort Pictures has revealed an outstanding treaser trailer for the upcoming documentary 24X36: A Movie About Movie Posters, which explains what it's about right in the title. The film is having its world premiere at Fantastic Fest later this fall, the home of Mondo where many of the finest posters nowadays are being made. The documentary examines the love of movie posters old and new, discusses the sad decline of the studio poster today, as well as the rise of the new generation of poster artists and collectors. It features interviews with Roger Kastel, behind the classic Jaws poster, as well as William Stout, Jason Edmiston, Laurent Durieux, Gary Pullin, Orlando Arocena and others. Looks fantastic. Review: Ayer's 'Suicide Squad' Squanders an Impressive DC Ensemble

Written and directed by David Ayer (of Fury, End of Watch, Street Kings, and Harsh Times previously), Suicide Squad sounds like it should be a very fun movie. A secret government agency recruits incarcerated super-villains (from DC Comics lore) to carry out high-risk black ops missions in exchange for reduced sentences? It's The Dirty Dozen with Harley Quinn and the Joker and a few other bad guys, what could possibly go wrong? As it turns out, everything. While the premise is intriguing, the movie is unfortunately an incoherent, aggressively dull mess that squanders an impressive ensemble cast of characters. Based on the DC series by John Ostrander, Suicide Squad begins with Amanda Waller, a ruthless Us intelligence officer played by Viola Davis, hand-picking bad guys from the notorious Belle Reve Federal Penitentiary, a facility designed to hold the "worst of the worst." Watch: Full Us Trailer for Polish Possession Horror Comedy 'Demon'

"Buried for decades... silent until now." The Orchard has released an official Us trailer for a horror-comedy called Demon, from the late Polish filmmaker Marcin Wrona, who finished this film and died last year just before its initial release. Titled Ha'dibouk in Hebrew, the film is about a man possessed by an "unquiet" spirit in the midst of his own wedding. It's a new take on the Jewish legend of the dybbuk, described as "part absurdist comedy, part love story that scares, amuses, and charms in equal measure." Starring Agnieszka Zulewska and Itay Tiran, with Andrzej Grabowski and Tomasz Schuchardt. The film is actually partially in English, so dive right in, even though this trailer doesn't seem to show much of the comedic side. Jerry Lewis Returns as a Jazz Pianist in First Trailer for Indie 'Max Rose'

"They all start out with a slap on the ass, and then we end up jealous old men wishing we had what the other guy's got." Paladin & Lightstream have unveiled the official Us trailer for an indie drama called Max Rose, starring the legendary musician-comedian Jerry Lewis as an aging jazz pianist. The trailer says this is Lewis' "most personal role of a lifetime", and it definitely feels that way. After her death, he learns that his wife had another man in her life and tries to find out who he is. Also starring Kevin Pollak, Kerry Bishé, Dean Stockwell, Fred Willard and Claire Bloom. Isabelle Huppert in First Trailer for Mia Hansen-Løve's 'Things to Come'

"To think... I've found my freedom." The official UK trailer for the new Mia Hansen-Løve film has debuted. Titled Things to Come, or L'avenir in French, the film stars Isabelle Huppert as a philosophy teacher dealing with various trials and tribulations later in her life, with her husband and children. The full cast includes André Marcon, Roman Kolinka, and Edith Scob. The film first premiered at the Berlin Film Festival and won a Silver Bear for Best Director, which was excellent because Mia Hansen-Løve is a very talented filmmaker. Watch: Sudanese Refugee Short Film 'Grey Bull' Directed by Eddy Bell

"This is not even an African cow." This short film isn't sci-fi or animated, but it is damn good. Grey Bull is a short from Australian filmmaker Eddy Bell about a South Sudanese refugee now living and working in Australia. After befriending a grey bull at the slaughterhouse where he works, he decides to rescue it and bring it home where his family lives, causing all kinds of problems. Despite the brutal nature of the world he works in, and the stress of being a refugee in foreign country, there's a charm to this that really stands out. I can see why this won so many awards at so many festivals the last few years, it deserves them, and I hope to see more from this filmmaker sooner than later. Watch: Antonio Banderas Uncovers History in 'Finding Altamira' Trailer

"Perhaps all of our ideas are wrong?" Samuel Goldwyn has unveiled an official trailer for the film Finding Altamira, starring Antonio Banderas as Spanish archaeologist Marcelino. Back in 1879, Marcelino and his daughter Maria (played by Allegra Allen) discovered the now-famous cave called Altamira in northern Spain. The cave contains paintings of running bison that date back over 10,000 years. At the time, this discovery made him the target of the Catholic Church since no one could believe it was possible humans were alive back then. This isn't the same cave that Werner Herzog visits in Cave of Forgotten Dreams, but it's similar, and it's cool to see a feature film told around the initial discovery of one of these caves. Official Trailer for Another Nick Cave Doc 'One More Time With Feeling'

"Most of us don't want to change..." Another incredible peek inside the mind of Nick Cave! The first trailer has debuted for a documentary called One More Time With Feeling, made by The Assassination of Jesse James director Andrew Dominik, which follows Cave producing his new album titled "Skeleton Tree" (out in September). The trailer is entirely in black & white, but the feature-length doc has both color and B&W footage as well as 2D and 3D footage, showing Cave working in the studio and outside as well. The footage in this looks stunning, and I'm a huge fan of Andrew Dominik, so I'll probably catch this just to get a glimpse at his most recent work. The "other" Nick Cave doc was called 20,000 Days on Earth and played throughout festivals in 2014-2015, earning mostly positive reviews for being a unique creation. This one is also unique. Third Trailer for Animated 'Storks' Movie Directed by Nicholas Stoller

Your family is your flock and your flock is your family. Warner Bros has debuted another new trailer for the animated Storks movie, co-directed by Nicholas Stoller & Doug Sweetland. The story follows a young human girl named Tulip who works in the stork delivery company, which has become a .com delivery giant after moving on from delivering babies. Until one shows up and they have to figure out how to get it back to its family. The voice cast features Andy Samberg as the voice of Junior, as well as Kelsey Grammer, Jennifer Aniston, Ty Burrell, Key and Peele, plus Katie Crown as Tulip. This new trailer also features the song "Kiss the Sky" by Jason Derulo, which is thematically connected to the film. Watch: Nsfw New Re-Release Trailer for Paul Verhoeven's 'Showgirls'

"You're out there on stage, hoping on a spot, someone gets in your way - step on 'em." Pathe is planning a 4K restoration re-release of the cult classic, critically-panned film from Paul Verhoeven that killed his career in Hollywood - Showgirls. To announce the upcoming re-release in theaters as well as on Blu-ray and VOD, they've unveiled a new trailer for the film which starred Elizabeth Berkley, Kyle Maclachlan, Gina Gershon, Glenn Plummer and Robert Davi. Showgirls actually received the "Nc-17" rating for "nudity and erotic sexuality throughout", perhaps because Verhoeven was given final cut after the success of Basic Instinct and didn't hold back, and it bombed at the box office. This trailer is obviously Nsfw with nudity throughout, but that should be expected. Perhaps there are a few devoted Verhoeven fans out there.
