On Special Report tonight, Molly Henneberg brought us up to date on a new state tax that Bret Baier simply called “amazing.”
It’s technically called a storm management fee, but many have now decided to call it the rain tax. Last year, Maryland legislators passed the law and it was signed by Gov. Martin O’Malley (D). It affects the nine largest counties in the state and it will go into effect July 1.
Any residents of the Free State who live in a house with a roof or a driveway, or any other surface that doesn’t absorb rain will have to pay up.
