Microsoft Confirms they won't be making more Xbox One S 2TB Consoles

Microsoft has confirmed reports that the 2TB version of the Xbox One S was a limited time offer.

As reported yesterday, Eurogamer was stating that Microsoft wasn't going to be releasing anymore 2TB Xbox One S consoles once the current allocation had run out. It turns out that those were reports were true.

In a statement given to Gamespot, Microsoft have said the following.

"The 2 TB Xbox One S was released as a special launch edition in limited quantities only. We're thrilled at the amount of interest we've received and we are always looking for opportunities to offer choice and fantastic value to our fans. Please check with your local retailer to determine whether the 2 TB Xbox One S is still available in your market."

When the Xbox One S was first announced in it's 2TB version, there was no indication that it would be a limited time offer. The Xbox One S will of course still be available in it's 1TB and 500GB versions.
