Giving to Alaska & Polar Regions Collections

Alaska and Polar Regions (APR) Collections & Archives is a regional research collection that supports the study and scholarship of Alaskan history, folklore, photography, public policy, statehood and so much more.
 
APR Collections & Archives contains historically significant documents, as well as contemporary materials, and supports University students and faculty across a broad range of disciplines, including history, northern studies, political science, rural development and Alaska Native studies.
 
APR Collections & Archives houses a variety of materials including books, periodicals, photography, manuscripts, films, oral histories, rare books, and maps.
 
The collection is centered on Alaska but include many items about the Circumpolar North and Antarctica.
 
APR also serves as the official archives for UAF and for the University of Alaska (statewide).
 
Subject bibliographers, archivists, anthropologists and historians on the APR staff are available for reference and research assistance.
 
Your gift to the Rasmuson Library Alaska and Polar Regions Collections & Archives will support new acquisitions for this important research collection, as well as the preservation of donated historical materials.
