The first 8 lines of the notice are $20, lines 9-16 $135, and $7 per line thereafter. If desired, the family may also choose to publish a photo, which utilizes 15 lines of space. Photos will be accepted Monday through Friday and should be brought to The Record/Herald News, 1 Garret Mountain Plaza, 8th floor, Woodland Park or e-mailed to
obits@northjersey.com. Color photo charge is $35. In addition, graphic emblems are available to accompany the notice and charges are based solely on the space utilized. On weekends and Holidays, please call or email using the above contact information. Obituaries appear in both The Record and Herald News and on Northjersey.com
A paid obituary provides information concerning the death of an area resident, a former resident, or a relative of a resident. These notices are published in alphabetical order and usually include the date of death and the names of surviving family members. They may also provide information about funeral arrangements, hours of visiting, and family preferences regarding memorial contributions. Because these are paid notices, the family may include additional biographical information about the deceased, photos or graphic emblems if they wish.
