Gamecocks have ground to make up with Marshall

If USC wants to land WR Justin Marshall of Covington, GA, it's going to have to pick up the effort. Marshall has the Gamecocks in his top four but said he's had no contact with them since his visit a couple of weeks ago. He did receive his official offer from the Gamecocks Sunday night.

Moore picks Gamecocks over Vols

OL TJ Moore of Charlotte, N.C. announced his commitment to South Carolina Monday night.
The 6-foot-6, 290 pound Moore had Tennessee and USC as his top two schools and said he chose USC because of his relationships with offensive line coach Shawn Elliott and head coach Will Muschamp.

Montac ready to help in USC secondary

A copy of USC's fall camp roster posted Sunday on the school's sports website included the names of transfer running back Ty'Son Williams junior college cornerback Steven Montac. Sunday afternoon Sports Information Director Steve Fink informed the media Montac's name should not have been on that roster.

Connor's Vandy visit moves Commodores up

Dutch Fork 2017 WR Austin Connor now has Vanderbilt as one of his top four schools after he visited campus Thursday.
“It was great,” Connor said. “I saw a lot of things that I wanted to see in the school and the visit pushed them up into my top four.”

Four from SEC working Abram regularly

DB Johnathan Abram of Jones County JC, MS began his college career in the SEC at Georgia and appears destined to continue it in the same league following a one season stopover in junior college.
Abram said USC, Alabama, Tennessee and LSU are the four schools working the hardest to gain his affection.

Gamecocks keeping up interest in PG Roberts

The USC basketball coaching staff spent a lot of time watching PG CJ Roberts of North Richland, TX at the various stops this summer and they'll get a chance to see him up close and personal soon because he plans to take an unofficial visit with the Gamecocks in the near future.

While many major prospects seek to complete their recruiting by the start of the season, not so Pendleton DE Brad Johnson. He's well off from a decision according to his coach Paul Sutherland and will take official visits this fall before settling on his destination.

Tennessee DB rates USC highly

USC has positioned itself well with a number or prospects who are still mulling over decisions. One of those is DB TJ Carter (5-11 175) of Nashville. His offers include USC, Auburn, Georgia Tech, Memphis, Louisville, Mississippi State and Cincinnati.

2016 center 6-9 Ran Tut of Australia and Monroe JC, NY committed to USC today after receiving an offer from Frank Martin. Tutt becomes the 7th member of the class and picks up the spot on the roster created by the departure of guard Marcus Stroman who is transferring.
