Resident Evil Archives Dated for June

The Wii version of the GameCube Resident Evil remake gets an early summer release date.

Capcom is prepping Resident Evil Archives -- the updated and retitled Wii version of the GameCube Resident Evil remake -- for a June 23 release in the U.S., according to a report on Eurogamer.

Both this motion control-enabled re-rerelease and its prequel, Resident Evil Zero, have been available for the Wii in Japan since last year. Because Capcom had previously declined to sell the Wii version of RE: Zero in the States, it's been a little unclear whether or not they'd do the same for its successor. Fortunately for Wii-owning Resident Evil fans, that's apparently not the case.

Well they are doing a remake because of how mainstream the wii has become. Maybe they could capture a few new fans for their resident evil series. I think a few here should take a marketing class or two :P

i would like to see re remake come to ps3 and xbox 360 , i already own it for the game cube but it would be nice to play it in hd. as for a re make of re2 , i doubt we'll see that unless they make it for ps3 and 360. all they needed to do for the re remake 1 , is just port the game to the wii and make the wii controls , they didn't have to do much besides that , re making 2 would involve more work than that.

RE Outbreak Revisited, Please

They should re-release RE Outbreak and Outbreak File #2, maybe even a compilation, for the PS3 or Xbox 360, since those platforms have a way better online structure than the PS2 could have ever dreamed of. Hell, make them download-only games, no discs, involved, and support them with new scenarios via DLC.

Capcom has a strange relationship with Nintendo and the Resident Evil series. I wish they'd just multi-platform that stuff. I'm sure the Wii-motion isn't 100% necessary.
