James Gunn Hints at "New Technology" Preventing Bootleg Comic-Con Recordings

Oh, San Diego Comic-Con: the year we all eagerly sit at our computers combing all our favorite movie sites in hopes of catching a grainy, audience-filmed trailer for the most anticipated upcoming superhero flick. Despite the fact that it's 2016, many studios are still shocked when their trailers hit the web, feeling it's a betrayal to fans who made the trek out to San Diego.

Many bloggers have expressed their desire for studios to get with the times -- release the trailers in Hall H and post them online a few hours later. This would prevent certain audience members from seeing the aforementioned grainy video online and having their first impression be a potentially negative one due to the lack of clarity. With the launch of the new streaming service, Comic-Con HQ, it seemed the convention may lean toward streaming the entire event -- despite stating that sharing the trailers was completely up to the studio. »

Prepare Yourself For 'Endless' New Ghostbusters Movies, Says Producer

As I wrote about over a year ago, when Ghostbusters comes out this Friday, it hopes to do a lot of things. For starters, it wants to win over naysayers. But, more importantly, it wants to relaunch the Ghostbusters IP in a way that's bigger and more far-reaching than it's ever been. We're talking spinoffs, sequels, prequels, team-up movies, etc. A full-blown Cinematic Universe could be on the way if this thing hits. And, based on the fact that the early buzz is good- the film currently resides at a Fresh 78% with nearly 60 reviews counted on Rotten Tomatoes- their plans may actually come to fruition if audiences agree.

"It's going to be endless. People are going to love this movie so much that's they're going to demand more and more," producer Amy Pascal told The Hollywood Reporter. Both she and fellow producer Tom Rothman sound positively giddy about the future of the franchise. »

Damon Expects Bourne Series To Go The James Bond Route In Future, Talks Recasting Role

I'll never forget seeing the first trailer for The Bourne Identity. It was 2001 and, up until that point, Damon had acquitted himself quite nicely as a dramatic actor-writer in high-minded productions like Good Will HuntingSaving Private RyanThe Talented Mr. Ripley, and The Legend Of Bagger Vance. He and pal Ben Affleck crossed over into the A-list at the same time, thanks to their work as writers/actors in 1996's Good Will Hunting, but they seemingly split after that. Damon went serious, and Affleck went big. While Damon worked on the kinds of films mentioned above, Affleck ran around making bombastic blockbusters like Armageddon, Reindeer Games, and Pearl Harbor.

So the idea, as a follower of films, was that- of the two of them- Damon was more of the thoughtful artiste, while Affleck was more the celebrity movie star.

That's what made the debut trailer for The Bourne Identity so attention-grabbing. »

Elba and Haley Light Up The Streets In These Fierce 'The Dark Tower' Set Photos

Fans of Stephen King's The Dark Tower books have been hearing about a proposed film series based on the property for years. After years of close calls, it's finally happening and the internet has been littered with set photos from the production for weeks now. In today's installment of "How's The Dark Tower Coming Along?" we have shots from a battle between Idris Elba's Roland Deschain and Jackie Earle Haley's Sayre.

The sequence was shot in Brooklyn, and it looks plenty intense. The photos reveal that Haley will likely have some sort of CG augmentation on his face after The Dark Tower goes through post-production.

Also included in this round of photos, which all come from Just Jared, are glimpses of some sort of rooftop tussle Elba's Deschain is involved in. Take a look at the latest The Dark Tower set photos right here:

Leto Talks About His Creepy, Unpredictable, Unhinged Joker in 'Suicide Squad'

Much has already been said about Jared Leto's take on The Joker in Suicide Squad, as anticipation builds. The character has always found a way to captivate pop culture's collective imagination, with names like Romero, Nicholson, Hamill, and Ledger leaving their mark as the Clown Prince of Crime. With Leto, we'll have another gifted talent taking on the mantle, and he's one whose very career can be looked at as a preview for what's come when he dons the makeup.

Leto's resumé is littered with unexpected choices and jarring shifts. He's played all kinds of roles, in films big and small, and has largely avoided taking on any project that would make him too big of a star- preferring to fly more under the radar and simply work on projects that spoke to him. At one point, the Suicide Squad star even threw his acting career on the back-burner »

First Photos of Sofia Boutella In Full Costume From 'The Mummy' Set

Just Jared posted over thirty-five photos from the set of director Alex Kurtzman's The Mummy starring Tom Cruise. In the photos, we see the first appearance of actress Sofia Boutella as the titular villain in full costume and makeup. Apparently she is controlling a group of people in the scene.

Boutella had a break-out role in director Matthew Vaughn's Kingsman: The Secret Circle and will next be seen in director Justin Lin's Star Trek Beyond alongside Chris Pine and Idris Elba.

The Mummy is planned as the first film in a series of interconnected monster films as Universal hopes to build a cinematic universe out of its vault of classic creature features.

Thought safely entombed in a crypt deep beneath the unforgiving desert, an ancient queen (Sofia Boutella of Kingsman: The Secret Service and Star Trek Beyond) whose destiny was unjustly taken from her, is awakened in our current day, »

Comic Review: SuperZero #6

Amanda Conner with Paul Mounts (Aftershock Comics)

In case you haven’t picked up any issues of SuperZero yet, I would like to take this moment to warn you that this review is full of spoilers from not only this issue but the past books at well. I highly recommend to go back and read the other five issues.

Through the first four issues of this series I have been back and forth on my opinion on whether Dru was delusional or if in fact she had a sixth sense about an impending attack on earth. The fact that her experiences had been grounded in reality (besides her dreams) really kept me hooked. I was rooting for her to get super powers but at the same time wanted her to get a grip on “reality” and that super powers only exist in fictional worlds. Lucky for Dru she exists in »
