We are all getting older, and we would all like to maintain our health as we age. The trick is finding reliable, practical information amid all the claims about miracle cures and diets. That information can be found at “Your Health," a free conference at 10 a.m. Friday, Aug. 5, at Mary Black Hospital's Conference Center in the Hugh R. Black Pavilion.

Researchers and medical professionals will present information on how heart health impacts brain health during a program offered especially for the African-American community. Lunch will be provided. Registration is free, just call the Alzheimer's Association at 1-800-272-3900 or visit alz.org/sc.
