The story begins with Johnny, a loving husband and father. After losing his young daughter and his own parents in a devastating car crash, he must also reconcile his wife walking out on him when the grief is too much for her to face, as it alters his life forever. While trying to hide his pain he joins the Army. After serving his country, Johnny returns home, only to find there is no one there to welcome him or soothe his pain or even offer a place to stay. Forced to live on the streets for years, unhealthy, overweight, and still horribly depressed, Johnny is offered a job. A Job that leads johnny onto a path of good health, peace, and dignity, in what would become the most intense, yet gratifying, battle of his life as he becomes a boxer.
