“Game of Thrones” led with the most Emmy nominations Thursday — 23 — but was closely followed by the FX limited series “The People v. O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story,” which scored 22. FX also scored with the second season of “Fargo,” which had 18 nominations. “Game of Thrones” and “Simpson” also cleaned up in the acting categories. The two series won’t go head to head for the main awards, because “Game of Thrones” competes in the drama category and “Simpson” and “Fargo” in the movies and miniseries category.
