As I said my relationship became much better when I went 100% honest. In my 20s I made plenty of dumb but innocent decisions. Had I not embraced honesty I would have been divorced at least once by know as you wxplained earlier.

Yes I think we all make dumb decisions in our 20s. The problem is not making dumb choices because we all do. The problem is refusing to accept that we have made bad choices and working to resolve issues and not repeating the mistakes.  I am with you, my wife has put up with me over the years.

I think several items are critical to make a relationship work. Honesty, trust are key, but I also believe you need to love and LIKE your wife. I really like my wife, she is my best friend and I would rather be with her than anyone.  I have friends who profess great love for their wife, but they don't enjoy spending time with their wives.
