‘Game of Thrones': Is Cersei’s Rumor Tied to the Mad King?

(Spoiler Warning: Please don’t read this until you’ve seen the latest “Game of Thrones” episode.) Cersei has suffered humiliation after humiliation this season. This week, the latest terrible fate to befall her was the declaration made by her own son that trial by combat is now outlawed. Tommen did have a point. Putting aside the fact that demanding a trial by combat allowed Tyrion to escape a guilty verdict at the hands of a kangaroo court, isn’t it pretty stupid that any and all laws can be swept aside and replaced with a fight to the death to decide whether. »

‘Game of Thrones': What Did Tyrion’s Joke About Flies in Cups of Ale Mean?

(Spoiler Warning: This post contains very minor spoilers for the June 12 episode of “Game of Thrones,” “No One.”) As Tyrion has been known to do this season, he once again attempted to get Missandei and Grey Worm to loosen up a bit with booze. He also decided it would be a good idea to tell jokes. The joke Tyrion told went like this: “Three lords walk into a tavern, a Stark, a Martell and a Lannister. They order ale, but then the barkeep brings them over, each of them finds a fly in his cup. Also Read: 'Game of Thrones': What Did Queen. »

‘Game of Thrones': Arya’s Fate Raises Fans’ Eyebrows

(Spoiler warning: You should see the latest “Game of Thrones” episode, “No One,” before you read this.) After a frantic chase through the streets of Braavos, Arya finally came face to face with the woman who has demanded she give up her name, The Waif. In a departure from the usual “Game of Thrones” gore and ugliness, the story cut to black before fast forwarding to the aftermath of the duel in the Hall of Faces. Jaqen H’ghar looks with surprise…or at least as much surprise as he can show on his face… at the sight of the Waif’s face on. »

Orlando Gunman’s Ex-Wife Says Shooting Was Caused by Mental Illness

Omar Mateen’s ex-wife, Sitora Yusufiy, told reporters Sunday night that the Orlando gunman was “mentally ill” — and she believes that illness led him to commit the mass shooting that claimed 50 lives early Sunday morning. Speaking from her home in Boulder, Colo., Yusufiy said she met Mateen online and they had married seven years ago and divorced two year later. When asked if he was radicalized when they were together, Yusufiy replied there was “no sign of any of this at all.” “He was mentally unstable and mentally ill,” she explained. “That’s the only explanation I can give. He was. »

Orlando Shooting a Toxic Brew of Hate, But We Can Stay the Course of Tolerance

The horrifying shooting at an Orlando gay bar contains a toxic brew of the hot button issues of our time — Islamic terrorism and Islamophobia, gun control and the Second Amendment, gay rights, immigration and our irrational fear of the other. A shooting like this can easily push everyone on every side to extremes, to justified rage and disproportionate responses. In our pain, that’s where we go. Crane patches her up and they begin to bond. She offers Arya a spot in her theater company, but she refuses. She gives Arya a mixture containing milk of the poppy and she soon falls into a deep sleep. »

The “harm” statement was inaccurate, said Santa Monica Police Chief Jacqueline Seabrooks — the source that originated the statement.
