Marvel Planning Sentry Movie with Walking Dead Star?

Marvel Studios has barely kicked off Phase 3 of their cinematic universe with Captain America: Civil War, but that doesn't mean they aren't already planning for the future. Very little is known about what Marvel will be doing in Phase 4, but we may have just received a kind of major hint. Thanks to actor Justin Kucsulain, it looks like Marvel may be flirting with bringing a Sentry movie to the screen in the future.

The actor recently took to his Instagram to tease what might be his involvement in the project. Kucsulain posted a photo of himself from Emerald City Comics, in which, he is holding up several Sentry comics and an action figure of the character. He included the caption "Gathered some amazing reading material today," which was followed by a winking face. That winking face is oddly what makes this a little more than just a semi unknown actor shopping for comics. »

John Turturro Still Wants a Big Lebowski Jesus Spinoff

The Coen Brothers' off-beat comedy The Big Lebowski didn't exactly set the box office on fire when it debuted in 1998, earning just $17.4 million. It did, however, go on to become a cult classic, even spawning a yearly event in Louisville, Kentucky, with the 15th annual Lebowski festival taking place next week. Two years ago, star John Turturro teased that he'd like to make a spinoff happen, featuring his beloved character Jesus, although we haven't heard anything official about the project moving forward. The actor recently teased in a new interview that it still may actually happen, although there are some legal issues to be ironed out first.

The Hollywood Reporter recently caught up with John Turturro, who was promoting his new HBO miniseries The Night Of, where he teased that the project may happen. Directors Joel Coen and Ethan Coen wouldn't direct the spinoff, but they would be involved in »

We didn't see too much of Crossbones in Civil War, but this nefarious character plays an integral part in the destructive event that divides the Avengers. 'Ghost in the Shell' Producer Defends Casting Scarlett Johansson

Way back in January 2015, actress Scarlett Johansson was cast in the lead role for Paramount's long-awaited live-action adaptation of Ghost in the Shell. While not much was said about the casting at the time, several fans started speaking out against her role as Kusanagi when the first photo was released, since the character is actually an Asian woman in the original manga created by Masamune Shirrow. While the backlash has died down considerably since the photo was released, one of the movie's producers has addressed the controversy.

The first photo that debuted in April arrived when "whitewashing" was quite the hot-button topic, in the wake of the #OscarsSoWhite controversy. Emma Stone's casting as a half-Chinese/half-Hawaiian woman in Aloha, Rooney Mara playing a Native American character in Pan and the Caucasian cast of Gods of Egypt were all quite controversial before the photo debuted. BuzzFeed spoke with Ghost in the Shell producer Steven Paul, »

Baywatch Almost Derailed Leonardo DiCaprio's Movie Career

Next year, the iconic TV series Baywatch makes the transition to the big screen with a new reboot starring Dwayne Johnson and Zac Efron. The original series is among the most successful of all time, running for 11 seasons between 1989 and 2001, turning stars Pamela Anderson and the rest of the cast into household names. A new retrospective on the original series reveals quite an interesting revelation, that Oscar winner Leonardo DiCaprio was almost cast on the show when he was just a teenager.

Before he went on to make Oscar winning blockbusters, Leonardo DiCaprio's career began on the small screen, with roles on the 1990 TV series Parenthood and a recurring arc on Growing Pains. The Hollywood Reporter reveals that, at just 15 years of age, the actor auditioned for the role of Mitch Buchannon's (David Hasselhoff) son, Hobie Buchannon, but David Hasselhoff himself "nixed" the casting. Bub Returns in First Look at Day of the Dead Remake

With most of the great horror movies already remade, we are entering a second wave of reboots that bring back some classics in the genre. Zombie maestro George A. Romero already had his seminal 1985 trilogy ending thriller Day of the Dead remade in 2008, which arrived as a standalone story that wasn't a true follow-up to Zack Snyder's 2004 Dawn of the Dead remake, which in turn really wasn't a sequel to Tom Savini's 1990 Night of the Living Dead remake. Now, we're getting a second Day of the Dead remake, and it doesn't appear to be connected to any of the movies that came before it either. But it will bring back an iconic character from Romero's oeuvre, sort of, and today we have a first look.

This sneak peek at the new Day of the Dead comes courtesy of Bloody Disgusting. The images show Johnathon Schaech as Bub, »

Watch an X-Men Fan Transform Into a Real-Life Iceman

With the rise in popularity of superhero movies and a more general awareness of nerd-centric things in pop culture, all coinciding with comic book conventions like San Diego Comic Con, the art of cosplay has been lifted to a new level. At times, the level of authenticity and detail to these costumes are baffling. Some things are trickier than others though, like, if you wanted to actually shoot ice from your hands like Iceman from X-Men, for instance. YouTuber Colin Furze has you covered.

In the latest video on the Colin Furze YouTube channel, he decided to take on the challenge of being able to make a device that could do what Iceman is able to do in the X-Men movies. Granted, the end result can't do all of the crazy stuff that Bobby Drake (Iceman) can do, but it is pretty impressive. Furze decided to use liquid nitrogen and »

J.K. Rowling Has Finished Fantastic Beasts 2 Script

The Harry Potter movie franchise came to a close five years ago with Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows - Part 2, but this magical world is still quite alive and well. Earlier this month, the new stage play Harry Potter and the Cursed Child opened in previews in London, and later this year, author J.K. Rowling will make her screenwriting debut with Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, which is set 70 years before Harry Potter and his friends first set foot in Hogwarts. We've know for quite some time that this adventure will be the start of a new trilogy, and it seems that the follow-up, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them 2, is already off to a great start.

David Yates, who directed the last four Harry Potter movies, is directing Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, but earlier this week, he hit the red carpet in »

Bones Gives Spock Love Advice in First Star Trek Beyond Clip

Uhura tries to give Spock back his mother's necklace in a new clip from Star Trek Beyond. But as she soon learns, it is not in the Vulcan custom to receive back that which is given as a gift. This lands the pointy eared paramour a well deserved kiss on the cheek, which leave the alien a little stunned and bewildered. Standing nearby, Bones sees the whole interaction and is genuinely concerned for his friend.

'Did you guys break up? What did you do?' Asks Bones. Spock is not necessarily pleased with this typically reductive inquiry from the doctor. That leads Bones to dispense this great pearl of wisdom, 'You know, Spock, if an earth girl says it's me not you...It's definitely you!' Bones then pats his friend on the back, setting his sights on what the Space Station Yorktown has to offer.

First Look at Matthew McConaughey in The Dark Tower

Back in April, Sony Pictures confirmed during their CinemaCon presentation that production had started on their highly-anticipated adaptation of The Dark Tower, which has been set for release on February 17, 2017. Since then, we've already seen a handful of set photos offering our first look at star Idris Elba as The Gunslinger, Roland Deschain, but we haven't seen any other characters in action, until today. As filming continues in South Africa, the first images have surfaced of Oscar winner Matthew McConaughey as the main villain, Randall Flagg, a.k.a. The Man in Black.

The images, which have popped up on various Twitter accounts, reveal that Matthew McConaughey's character is keeping true to his namesake in the Stephen King novels, clad in all black. Unfortunately, there isn't much else we know about the scene that he's shooting, and no other cast members were seen in these photos. The actor is »

Peter Jackson and Steven Spielberg Team for Secret Movie

Making a three part epic like The Hobbit sure can knock the wind out of a guy. Especially when it is not as well received as the trilogy that came before it, which in this case, would be the Academy Award winning Lord of the Rings saga. So it's understandable that director Peter Jackson has taken some much needed time off between projects. But it sounds like the New Zealand maestro may be heading back to work soon. And it will be under the guidance of filmmaker extraordinaire Steven Spielberg.

Though he won't divulge exactly what the project may be, director Steven Spielberg spilled the beans about Peter Jackson's next project while out promoting his big summer release The Bfg, which is in theaters now. Spielberg dropped this exciting nugget of news to TimeOut Magazine, with New Zealand's Stuff picking up the coverage. The actor only let this new »

Underworld 5 Delayed Until Early 2017

30 June 2016 6:58 PM, PDT

Back in April, Screen Gems released the first teaser poster for Underworld Blood Wars, although it didn't featuring returning star Kate Beckinsale or any of the other cast members. Since the release date had already been set for October 14, most assumed that the first trailer was just around the corner, but the studio still hasn't released any footage as of yet. Today we found out why, with Screen Gems officially pushing the movie from October 14, 2016 to January 6, 2017.

Variety reported on the release date shift, but there was no reason given for why the date was pushed into 2017. In its new date on January 6, 2017, Underworld 5 will be going up against The Weinstein Company's Amityville: The Awakening, starring Bella Thorne and Universal Pictures' Mena, starring Tom Cruise. The first weekend of January is typically quite slow at the box office, but that could change next year, with three high-profile projects hitting theaters. »

Scott Eastwood Eyes Pacific Rim 2

30 June 2016 6:27 PM, PDT

Earlier today, we reported that Legendary and Universal Pictures have set a February 23, 2018 release date for Pacific Rim 2. The news came just a few weeks after Star Wars: The Force Awakens breakout star John Boyega signed on for a leading role, portraying the son of Idris Elba's Stacker Pentecost from the first Pacific Rim. Now we have yet another report which claims the studios are eyeing Suicide Squad star Scott Eastwood for an unspecified role.

Deadline reports that Scott Eastwood is in early talks for the action sequel, which has recently been given a new lease on life after it was indefinitely delayed last fall. Unfortunately, it wasn't revealed who Scott Eastwood is playing, or if this character has any connections to the characters from the original Pacific Rim. This new report reveals that production is being eyed to start late this year, although it isn't clear where shooting will take place. »
