In fact, the gang is busy dealing with the first blockade in their path when Michonne spies another, perhaps even more challenging (and certainly more explosive) one.

The Magicians Get Some Divine Elimination

I know I complained about the filler episode last week, but I see now why the writers chose to pack everything in this week. What a roller coaster! I was rooting for Julia, and then Alice, and then screaming at both! Really, after Jane the Virgin’s twist, I can only handle so much! The antics began with Martin’s curse on the throne. A hilarious sequence where the high kings and queens try to kill each other out of pure paranoia. Penny saves the day with a classic: stop-the-heart-temporarily, and revive it with adrenaline. So no one dies, yet. Meanwhile, Marina

Jane the Virgin's Showrunner Explains the Emotional Reason Behind That Shocking Death

7 February 2017 12:15 PM, PST | POPSUGAR | See recent BuzzSugar news »

Major spoilers ahead for Monday night's episode of Jane the Virgin. Monday night's heartbreaking episode of Jane the Virgin sent everyone on #TeamMichael into a tear-stained tailspin when the show's writers finally did what they've been hinting at for months: they killed off Michael Cordero. Since plenty of fans (and the cast) are understandably still reeling from the devastating turn of events, showrunner Jennie Urman took to Tumblr to explain why Michael (played by Brett Dier) had to go. The heartfelt letter is addressed directly to Jane the Virgin's many fans and confirms that unlike telenovela characters of yore, Michael will not be coming back from the dead. "It was a decision made very early on, when I thought about our story as a whole," she wrote. "And even in season one, I knew it would be a hard thing to actually do, which is why there was a »

Jane the Virgin: Everything You Need to Know About That Shocking Death

Major Spoilers for Monday night's episode of Jane the Virgin below! Well, it finally happened. After months and months of not-so-subtle hints that it would, Jane the Virgin killed off Michael Cordero. Despite pretty obvious foreshadowing from the narrator in plenty of previous episodes, his death still ended up being one of the most heartbreaking moments in the series thus far. Season three's 10th episode, "Chapter Fifty-Four," starts out on a hopeful note. Jane (Gina Rodriguez) and Michael (Brett Dier) are both on the cusp of major success in their respective careers, with Jane scoring an interview at a flashy book publisher and Michael taking an important law school exam. While hanging out with her mom, Jane realizes that her period is late. At first she goes into a trademark Jane stress spiral, freaking out that a potential pregnancy doesn't fit in with her and Michael's five-year plan. When she tells him the big news, »

TV Ratings: ‘The Bachelor’ Wins, ’24: Legacy’ Has Soft Time Slot Debut

7 February 2017 9:33 AM, PST | Variety - TV News | See recent Variety - TV News news »

As happens with nearly every scripted series that premieres after the Super Bowl — irrespective of network — Fox’s “24: Legacy” had a soft time slot debut the day after the Big Game. The expansion of the Jack Bauer universe brought in a 1.5 rating in the advertiser-coveted 18-49 demographic and 6.19 million viewers. Hi-tech cop drama “Apb” premiered to a 1.5 and 6.11 million viewers, retaining its lead-in nicely. Both series were an improvement upon the slots’ fall occupants (“Gotham” and “Lucifer”), though it’ll take a few more weeks of data to get a real sense of their audiences.

The “24: Legacy” premiere on Sunday night had the misfortune of starting at 11 p.m. on the East Coast, leading to a smaller than usual post-Super Bowl crowd to sample the series. Post-Super Bowl premiere ratings, too, seldom augur success or failure for a series, being more of an indicator of who left their TV on following the presentation of the »

Ratings: 24: Legacy Has Solid Monday Start, Timeless Slips to New Lows

7 February 2017 8:30 AM, PST | TVLine.com | See recent TVLine.com news »

Fox’s 24: Legacy christened its regular Monday time slot with 6.2 million total viewers and a 1.5 demo rating (per finals), down of course from its apres-Super Bowl showcase (17.6 mil/6.1) but on par with where 24: Live Another Day left off (6.5 mil/1.7, in July of 2014) and improving on Gotham‘s winter finale (3.5 mil/1.1).

Versus Lad‘s own launch (in May 2014), Legacy was down 23 and 42 percent. A 1.5 rating would rank it as Fox’s No. 4 series (behind Empire, Simpsons and Lethal Weapon).
