Longtime subscriber of PC World. Followed their instructions to download and install on my Kindle Fire. The app just does not work. I downloaded it thru the Amazon webpage on my computer. Then had trouble finding it on the Kindle. Once I launched it, all I got was the navigation page. (Hint) You have to tap the Kindle menu page at the bottom of the screen, to bring up the login page. Next you can try to log in. I used my email (the same one they have no problem sending ads to) and my account #; it couldn't find me (even tho I had just logged in on the PC World website half an hour before). Then it gave me a choice to use my email and/or my zip code and/or my account # to log in. Did all three, none of which worked. PCWorld needs to get their act together on this app; maybe I'm reading the wrong mag (anyone know if PC Magazine is still around?).

YES all screwed up again!! I have been a subscriber to this magazine for many many years, but since it went digital only it almost unusable. Someone there needs to get on the ball. The app was improving some but as of the January issue I get the "MIB version error" and cannot get it to work on my kindle fire HD. I feel like they owe me and addition years worth of subscription for all the hassle their poor prep and execution when going all digital. I would love to have the real magazine back.

Update, I finally got it working.
1. Hold down on the PCWorld icon on the Carousel, a menu will pop up, select "remove from Carousel".
2. Next touch at the top of your Kindle screen to activate the task bar and select "more".
3. Now choose "Applications">> "Installed Applications">>scroll down to "PCWorld" and select it.
now press the "clear cache" button, now press the "clear data" button.
4.At the bottom of the screen touch the house to go back to the home screen.
5. Shut your Kindle off by holding down on the power button and selecting the "shutdodwn button".
6. Once shut completely off, restart your kindle. Choose "Apps > Store" at top off the screen enter PCWorld into the search field, and choose the magazine app, on next screen touch on the "free download" button and wait for the app to install. Once complete again shut down the kindle and restart.
All should now work, but all your past magazines and even your account number are gone. The new app looks different, to access your account information in the upper right corner there is a small red square icon that says PCWorld in it. Touch this to get to the account menu where you will need to input your account number and email address. This will then let you log on to PCWorld and down load the digital magazine. Good Luck

Followed the instructions and the magazine has never appeared in the library. So it's back to the drawing board PC World!

It took a LOT of messing around to get the "Library" to actually show something was available to read. I've got to believe that the people who wrote this app didn't do a lot of focus group testing. When I finally got it to work, I found something with more pizazz than the paper publication - I know it's tempting because it's possible to do stuff like this - but the pizazz interferes with the readability and clarity of the articles. You find the slightest miscue resulting in weird popups or sending you off to some other part of the magazine. C'mon guys - just cool it a bit.

After using this app for a while, things seem to have settled down a bit. Occasionally you get unexpected results, but overall this app works fairly well if you don't have your paper copy of the magazine. My "Library" actually gives me a choice of two different months of the magazine. I still prefer the printed (paper) edition.

Cannot get past introductory "How it works page". Rebooted the Kindle Fire, uninstalled and then reinstalled app but still nothing. Frustrating!

Shove your subscription. I paid for a magazine, now all I get is aggravation. Not impressed with the kindle either.

I am a current print subscriber to PC World so was offered free digital access to the mag. I tried 4 different times to download, install and open this app. Finally, I got the menu for the app that supposedly allows me to access the PC World library. I could not access the library. I sent three emails to the support team and they answered which gave me insight but none of the suggestions solved the problem so I was never able to use the app. They suggested that my problem may be with my wireless connection which is strange because it works great for email, Money magazine and downloading books. Need less to say, I gave up.

The problem for me is that recent issues I subscribed to could not be downloaded and read. There was an error message saying that the app needed to be updated but no updates were available for the Fire. The app works well on real Android devices such as the Samsung Galaxy Tab series. This is another example of problems with the Kindle version of Android.
