Trivia

This is the only episode of the series to be animated entirely in America. This is likely due to two factors: Not much new animation was required for a clip show, and much of the new animation created was very limited in movement and thus, easy to produce domestically. See more »

Quotes

Troy McClure: Yes, the Simpsons have come a long way since an old drunk made humans out of his rabbit characters to pay off his gambling debts. Who knows what adventures they'll have between now and the time the show becomes unprofitable?

Easily the Best Clip Show(SPOILERS)

SPOILERS

Let us be brutally honest here. Simpson clip shows are horrible. Well, except for this one. This clip show is the only clip show that you have a lot of fun watching. Plus it has a lot of old Simpson Tracey Ullman shorts. That is how the Simpsons first started, on the Tracey Ullman Show. Besides, this clip show is only Troy McClure with clips from episodes. Troy McClure is a good character. Oh, and by the way, this is the only hilarious and funny clip show. I mean, the other clip shows are not funny at all. Some are embarrassing to even watch.

The basis of this clip show is to show the Simpsons. Tory McClure hosts the Simpsons 138th Episode Spectacular. He shows up old Simpsons Tracey Ullman Shorts. He also answers questions that are in fan mail written by teachers and scientists. Why are teachers and scientists writing to the Simpsons? I have not got a clue. Anyway, he also shows us deleted scenes of classic episodes. Do you know the coolest part about this clip show? He also shows us the alternate ending to Who Shot Mr. Burns? It was Smithers, not Maggie.

Overall, this is one of the best episodes of Season Seven. Season Seven had a lot of good episodes so that is saying a lot. This is also one of the funniest episodes in Season Seven and that is, well, you get the idea. There are also a lot of subtle jokes, like Troy McClure pausing, then laughing, at a Tracey Ullman Short. This is one of the best episodes in Season Seven, but it is not the very best Simpsons episode ever.
