No one's claiming you can't enjoy something just because you took a photo of it in any case. The real point is that one detracts from the immersion of the experience. I would say that it looses...

nonsensical. you're not forced to take this lens every time you go out with the camera. sometimes i will benefit from having a tiny camera at 28mm equiv, but where necessary I can go much wider at...

"If you Group your layers you can nest them as you like in PSP x8" Sure, but I was talking about the past feature set.
-
Layers, but not nested layers.
-
Photoshop had non-destructive adjustment layers, and nested layers in 2005. It was lightyears in advance of PSP. Photoshop has had a lot of heavy duty development and I would give it a good go...

More dynamic range solves problems that no amount of composition or knowledge of exposure can otherwise fix, other than as an (often nasty) compromise or tiresome photoshop job. It also increases...

I would buy this for heavy cropping, but on the evidence of the image quality, I'd be better of with the GR. Even the old X-pro 1 and the newer A2 beat it by quite a margin. That tiny lens perhaps...

So....it's really not that complicated and dpreview could have given us the equiv 35mm anyway.

"Independently it is, from an engineering point of view, easier to add a wide angle than a tele to a phone camera." Is it? Sure a real telephoto is going to extend rather, but we're talking tiny...
-
Unless you're trying to mimic a gopro, then a telephoto seems a better option.
-
78 degree field of view? What's that. I think most of us here understand 35mm equiv better. And we're just fine with ignoring the comment arguments for those with 'equiv' issues.
-
Are they? A lot of us have experienced the loss of satisfaction that comes with digital vs the thought, careful composition, and patient timing of taking a film photo. The uber-rich may well be...

I doubt this camera is aimed at the Pro market. Other than the professionally rich.

Presumably because Leica expect lower sales.

If you examine smartphone pics and look at their ISOs, they are (mostly) just terrible. Ok for snaps resized to 1080 at a pinch but that's all. Even the Lumias and panasonics are reach way low in...

"John, it shows the camera from all angles, describes, and criticizes it in abundance." Yes, but as the fellow says, without a hand. The hand puts the size in to context. And size is important...

Compared to the iphone, I'm seeing stunning image quality and much better iso. This for me represents a replacement for a compact camera which the Iphone gets nowhere near. Considered on its...

Sony lenses tend to be so subpar that at least there is a big enough gap between them and zeiss lenses that Zeiss owners can really savour the, what shall we call it, frisson of cachet.

As with Canon's news/journo/sports cameras, it makes perfect sense that it's optimised for low-light. For these purposes, DR isn't the issue. I really can't see why people are critical of this....
-
"Dissappointing"? Why? Massive DR is for landscapes etc. This camera is for sports and news. It's a good thing that it is instead optimised for low-light.
