Ways to Give

After choosing the program area you'd like to support you'll need to decide the form of your gift. Below are the most popular options.

Cash

A simple donation of cash includes bills, coins, checks and credit card payments. These types of gifts can be made online, in person or through the mail. To make a gift in person, please visit the circulation desk and ask for a giving form. To make a gift through the mail please send your check, made payable to the UA Foundation, along with a note describing the nature of your gift, unrestricted or to a particular program to Rasmuson Library, Development Officer, PO Box 757530, Fairbanks, AK 99775.

Stock

A gift of shares of common stock that you own can also be donated. The stock will be sold by the UA Foundation and the net proceeds will be used for the purpose or Library program you have specified for your gift.

Bequest

A simple bequest is a bit of language that when written into your will passes some of your estate to the UA Foundation upon your death to be placed into the Rasmuson Library program you wish to make a gift to.

Charitable Gift Annuity

A Charitable Gift Annuity is a mechanism in which you make a gift in exchange for the right for you (and your spouse, if you desire) to receive a set income for your lifetime(s) after which the remainder is used by the UA Foundation for the Rasmuson Library program you wish to benefit.

Life Insurance

A life insurance policy can be purchased and then donated to the UA Foundation. The Foundation would hold the policy until your death at which point it would be cashed in and the proceeds would be used for the purpose or program you have specified. Alternatively you could simply name the UA Foundation as the beneficiary of an existing policy. Upon your death, the same thing would occur.

Other ways to give exist but these are the most popular. Contact us for more details on making a gift.
