D750 CMOS vs D60 CCD (same Lens)
3

Hi,

this is just a quick and dirty comparission of colors on D60 vs D750....

This shot were shot:
on same Lens DX 35 1.8, in RAW,
one on the D750 (FF CMOS) in DX Crop Mode vs on D60 (DX CCD).
Oh: and the RAW images have the same size, because the cameras have almost the same pixel pitch

Obvious "flaws" in test: quick and dirty outdoor Test: Manual Focus, Handheld, Changing Lightning (Sorry... could not stop the sun). I will do more controlled test later (if I get the time)

Development in LR, Adobe Standard, White Balance in LR on Same Whitebalance Patch (Portrait-Row 1 Patch -> "Coolest" Portrait on X-Rite Colorchecker Passport)

Even after whitebelance the colors are different. Please look at the yellow and green.

Look at the fall of on the metall. Which color has the highlight on the can?

Look in the color of the wood:

vs this color with SAME WHITEBALANCE in RAW applied!

Do the color of the wood and the tonal curve on the can match?

Even as the same Whitebalance with the picker is used and the color checker looks "okay"/similiar the real word scene look different.

The first one looks more like I saw it in reallity...

I do not want to bash the one camera or the other.
But I want to show in real word scenes there is a difference in color and tonal rendition even after WB and using the same lens

Disclaimer:
Yes: I know that I shot use a tripod next time... I also noticed the change of the sunlight.
