Is a Game Cancellation to Blame for Hideo Kojima Feeling Down?

No, seriously, I want names because they are FUCKING DEAD!!! That picture really is kind of depressing. I have it scrolled all the way to the top of the screen so I can't see it because it makes you feel bad. Kind of like when you turn the channel when an ASPCA commercial comes on or one of those "feed the children" commercials, kind of.

He was working on an original i.p that konami is forcing him to rework into another metal gear game. Poor guy is trapped by that franchise.

Kojima is a notorious teaser, in some way this must be promotion for some of his projects, that's what it is.

You're an excellent game creator and you've made awesome game (Zone of the Enders, the metal gear series, snatcher...Etc)

you shouldn't be bummed out. you've bought joy to all of gamers that love playing video games. And if it makes you feel better I enjoyed Castlevania lords of shadow and thought it was an excellent game (despite many calling it a God Of War clone). and the game is on my list of fun titles you've been involved.

personally i'd like to see you make a Gradius/Lifeform game for next gen consoles and possibly Contra.

Anyway...i feel ya pain dude. it sucks when a game you work on gets canceled even before it's even gets to see what it looks like or even get a chance to play said title (games like Starcraft ghost and the the next gen true crime comes to mind). but as long as you still get to do what you get to make games and bring happiness to us gamers we'll be behind 150%

I'll be very upset if they canceled ZOE 3 or any other remade better classic's! Not a smart idea Konami! Cancel the kiddish games not the big titles Konami!! Oh yeah Silent Hill? Canned?... Or Medal Gear Rising? lame to can those as well!

I hate hearing that any one of my favourite game geniuses is upset by something- ESPECIALLy Kojima-sama! D':  Here's to hoping he feels better about whatever it is upsetting him real soon~

It was probably the game he was talking about last year that he said would be really controlversial. It was supposed to be a game that if he didn't pull it off right, he'd have to leave the game industry according to him.

Konami probably won't let him even think about making something other than a Metal Gear game, an its probably stating to tick him off. I say he leaves Japan and starts his own company else where.

Devising jokes, writting them on cards and throwing them into the cities they fly over, to control people and steer their decision making  by mildy guiding their moods with amazing jokes. Then, when a city loses its control over the population, the flying jokesmith characters begin attacking it, slaughtering everybody with sharp melee weapons with serious, non-ironic facial expressions.

If a game has really been cancelled, its a shame every Metal Gear has become an instant hit.

His wrotes, "What I prepared minutely spending a year became meaningless," could mean a new game recently launched or announced that had everything he was planning on his new game..

Okay, you guys didn't hear this from me. But, I heard Hideo Kojima is upset about not being able to add trophies to Metal Gear Solid 4.

Hope Kojima is exaggerating a bit, and it's not that bad.  It can be hard for creative people to bounce back from losing projects they've been toiling on for a long time.  Stuff like that makes people lose their spark, and want to retire.

It's not a game at all. Perhaps it's more personal than that.

If not, I'm assuming it's that super contreversial game he said he was developing. One thing I remember him saying about it, is that if it doesn't succeed, he may have to leave the Video Game industry.

I can smell that stinker from a decade away. It's gonna suck, no Quinton Flynn and no Snake? It's the making of another "Acid" series all over.

You can only imagine how he is feeling.He is known for giving over whelming hours into his work and works himself almost to death.Sure his games are not for everyone but the fans it does reach out too,takes them to a level most video games cant emotionally.Hope to hear more about this.

Thats partly why I refuse to work under people - which allows me to do my own thing. Thats what Kojima should do, hes probably well known enough to pull it off.

Stupid decisions by higher ups are the exact reason america didn't get front mission - and we should be Very angry about that.

Maybe it's the taboo project that could have resulted in him potentially leaving the industry.

konami loves kojima so much they name a whole studio after him I doubt they would ever cancel a project with his name on it
