Nx1 was not a competitor to inferior A6000. A600 was worse in evry single aspect.

Except in sales, which in the end was all that mattered. And there's no doubt consumers would cross shop it with the a6000, it's in the same class-apsc mirrorless. 99% of buyers wouldn't know the difference beyond the $1000 price tag.

GH4 has a much better lens selection and 10-bit external for better IQ. A7s is FF and far better DR. I don't think Samsung was targeting those anyway, they wanted to be an alternative to CanNikon but lacked the lenses or photography history to back it up

in the end Samsung is solely to blame for the demise of the NX1, they did a poor job of marketing it, it was overpriced and the lens lineup has too many holes and too many mediocre lenses. Two high quality zooms weren't enough. A camera is not a fridge or a phone, you're buying into a system, it's not a one off purchase. I don't think Samsung viewed it that way.

i really think the mkII would have crushed it, if they would have brought more lenses before the body.
