My brother has recently bought a PS3 twice in the past couple of months and its beginning to drive me insane or to think that he is. The first time was last year around christmas he traded his guitar for a 80GB MGS4 bundle that came in the original box minus MGS4 but came with Uncharted and a controller charger. After having it for about no less than a few weeks he decides to sell it for $200 something along with my copy of MGS4 and the controller charger it came with.
Fast forward to 2010 he sees someone selling a PS3 80GB BC for $200 and buys it from Craiglist. He then ends up buying GOW3 just to play the game and I end up giving him a few of my games to play with like Uncharted and Killzone 2, Heavy Rain, Uncharted 2, Infamous. Luckly I ended up getting Heavy Rain, Infamous, and Uncharted 2 back. No less than a few weeks pass he ends up selling the PS3 on Craiglist for $240 with Killzone 2, Uncharted, and God of War 3. The reason for selling it is that he got bored with the PS3! So why even waste $200 on it? He had a PS3 before and plays with Xbox 360 more since he has friends on it and thinks the PS3 isn't that good or at least the games and online community. He even prefers it over the PS3. So gone are my copies of Uncharted 1 which I bought for $60 then sold it later to rebuy it for $30 and my copy of Killzone 2 that I paid $60 last February 2009. It pisses me off that he did this and I even ask for them back and he says that he hide them from me as he is going to buy a Slim PS3! I searced his apartment top to bottom and no Killzone 2 or Uncharted so I checked his Craiglist account to see both games listed for sale along with the PS3! So now I have to rebuy both Uncharted and Killzone 2 again costing me $60 together.
Anyway is my brother weird for doing this? I think what he is going through is impulse buying he has done this with a PSP as well sold his original PSP 1000 to later rebuy it again just to play God of War Chain of Olympus then sold it to buy a PSP Go! just to sell. Heck he's even done this with a Wii bought one two years ago to sell it but won't ever again buy a Wii.
