The 810 is a great camera that ticks a lot of boxes even still. Canon is modernizing their lens lineup and Sony is developing state of the art lenses (along with Sigma). Nikon (as an optical...

Hyperbole is great if used appropriately (75/300=$350...500f4=$12,999), quite the spread as opposed to a few hundred dollars (77II was going for $899)

Honey, would you get my camera out of the pack for me, there is a pulitzer waiting with this shot.
-
Besides the buffer, the 77II is weather sealed with a strong mount for mounting heavy lenses. The viewfinder is superior and the inards (shutter etc.) are probably built to a higher standard. ...

Why would anyone wait for the subpar 68 when the 77II is waiting for a home and is superior in every way?

I believe that the Pentax also has software in camera that auto sharpens up the photo when movement is detected (I think Sony does this also)

DP can't afford a MF for comparison.

Excellent shots, the lens looks like a winner. I can't believe Sony refuses to put a collar on the lens, with a cropped camera, it is 450 equivalent.

I have a cheap Chinese gimbal (sold under different brand names) that is <$100 which will work fine with the 150/600. Because the lens extends, it can be difficult to find balance point with the ...

My guess is that you were to close for getting everything sharp at f8, you probably would have gotten a sharper image and broader DOF if you had stopped down more or backed off to 500. Increasing ...

I'm really jealous of how close you can get to birds compared to Oregon. It may have something to do with USfish &wildlife killing thousands of Cormorants, Owls, and open seasons (all year) on ...

Congratulations to Canon and NASA for getting together with the low bidder.

Focus noise is relative to your surroundings and ear age....screw drives didn't need to be sent back because of a little noise.

The asian market is more important than the western market now and Canon has shifted its color wheel to reflect this fact. No more sanguine colors with its pink afterglow.

Many engineering students are not taught in a manner which broadens their outlook and could have gotten their degrees from a tech school. We need engineers more than lit majors and salaries...
