Rachel Zoe knows expectant moms want to keep it carefree when it comes to fashion — so her new collection for A Pea in the Pod makes chic maternity style easy.
Weaving her trademark bohemian style into classic and carefree silhouettes, the Rachel Zoe collection includes tunics and maxi dresses, as well as complimentary structured jackets designed to take women through pregnancy and into motherhood.
“This season is all about effortless glamour inspired by the ease of California style,” Zoe, a mom of two, tells PEOPLE exclusively. “It’s so hard to pick a favorite, but I really love the carefree caftans and maxi dresses — they are transitional silhouettes that you can wear during and after your pregnancy.”
A Pea in the Pod
Lisa Loeb‘s new music video might have you and your little ones blasting a classic lullaby on repeat.
In her adorable clip for “Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star,” Loeb bonds with a group of children — including her daughter Lyla Rose, 6 — while making arts and crafts.
“It was so much fun to include my kids on this project,” the singer-songwriter, 47, tells PEOPLE exclusively. “Making the video and singing ‘Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star’ with my daughter Lyla was a special experience. This is a classic song, one of my favorites from my own childhood — and now with my kids.”

Why she did it: As a mother of two girls who are very picky about their nighttime attire, this tired mom is happy to try any and all options available.
Pros: The other night, I put my 2-year-old daughter to bed wearing ballet-themed footie pajamas. They’re about a half-size too small, but she refuses to let them go in the “giveaway pile” for sentimental reasons (one battle I’m too tired to fight). So, hours later, when I went in to check on her at midnight, she was wearing nothing but a diaper and was wrapped in a cocoon-like fashion in a lightweight fleece blanket that usually lays askew on her bed.

How many expectant moms have cried in the aisles of the big box baby stores, overwhelmed (if not downright frightened) by the sheer volume of stuff that comes with a kid?
I know I was one of them, and ever since, I’ve vowed to gift my fellow new mommies with only goodies that are both cute and practical.
Here are seven of my favorites — most are new to the market, with a couple classics sprinkled in that just make life easier.
Buttermilk Babies Blankets ($75)
Pretty much the softest baby blankets I have yet to find. The patterns are cute, funny and just the right amount edgy: teeny skunks and brass knuckles are among my faves in the “tough cookie” set.
They can be used as traditional swaddles if you’ve got that special skill set, or as stroller blankets, lovies, you name it. Jaime King, Molly Sims and Haylie Duff are all fans, sharing social media photos with their babies in Buttermilk.

It can be hard for moms to carve out time to concentrate on themselves, but meditation expert Emily Fletcher believes meditating is actually the most selfless thing a mother can do.
“So many moms are so good at giving, sometimes to the point of exhaustion and depletion. If you’re running on empty, then you don’t have anything to give to your family,” explains Fletcher, who has instructed Jenna Dewan-Tatum in her Ziva Meditation technique.
“If you take the time to fill up your own tank with bliss and fulfillment and energy, then you’re going to be giving some higher quality time to your family.”
Whether you’re a mom of a newborn or older kids, Fletcher’s tips and advice will help you experience the benefits of meditation. (Dewan-Tatum credits meditation with her natural glow, so it’s definitely worth trying!)
