Where I'm sitting both the K-1 and the D810 will set you back a cool 250,000 yen while the Nikon D500 slots in at 230,000. The D750 meanwhile is just 170,000 yen, the same price as the Fuji X-Pro2.

I dunno, that's just. ... weird. I've got no dog in this fight, no manifesto I want to advance. It just seems really odd to me that these very different cameras should all end up at the price points they are currently, and I realize I've lost the ability to estimate value based on price comparison.

Is the D500 more fairly priced than the X-Pro2? Is the D750 a better deal than the K-1? There's no real yardstick anymore you can use a reference. How much is full frame worth? What about the D500's AF system and 10fps? If you want it and can afford it you buy it I guess.

That said it seems to me that 80,000 more for the K-1 over the D750, and for the same money as a D810, the K-1 is overpriced here at the moment.
