The Kodak DX4900 was announced two days before PMA 2002. The DX4900 is essentially a 'resolution upgraded' DX3900, in the place of that camera's three megapixel CCD the DX4900 has a four megapixel unit. The DX4900 has the same two times optical zoom lens and metallic sliding lens cover. This camera is aimed at the entry level user with straightforward controls and menu options (although it still provides some camera control flexibility).
