50 Years of Laughter
25 October 2001 | by (Your Critic of Critics) – See all my reviews

NBC for the last 50 years has brought us some of the greatest late night programs. From Steve Allen to Johnny Carson to Saturday Night Live to David Letterman to Jay Leno to Conan O` Brien all has been great. Here in this great documentary hosted by one of today's hottest talk show host Conan O` Brien. It looks back at some of late night`s greatest moments from the earliest late night programs to moments from Tonight Shows original host Steve Allen`s somewhat hilarious moments. The show however begins by featuring some of the greatest moments from the man who started it all Johnny Carson. The Johnny Carson look backs features some of his famous and very hilarious interviews, animal guest, and let`s not forget the very famous ax in the you know what trick. It also features memorable moments from Jay Leno, Later, and wild anti-talk show moments from David Letterman. Talking about Letterman, his replacement Conan O`Brien gets his share to show the greatest moments from the talk show which in my opinion is the best of our times "Late Night with Conan O `Brien." To end it all moments from one of the best NBC late night programs "Saturday Night Live" were shown, ironically this show was produced by SNL executive producer Lorne Michael and hosted & written by former SNL writer Conan O`Brien
