Another day, another time travel series announced. The trend of timey-wimey TV doesn’t seem to be getting erased from existence any time soon. Will & Grace alum Eric McCormack will star in a new sci-fi series called Travelers on Netflix, the streaming service announced on Tuesday. Netflix is making the project in partnership with Canadian broadcaster Showcase. Travelers (not to be confused with the excellent and short-lived 2007 thriller series Traveler, if any of y’all remember that) comes from Stargate SG-1 creator Brad Wright, and among the cast is Stargate alum Patrick Gilmore. Here’s the full premise — Quantum Leap but with more social media and more FBI: Hundreds of years from now, the last surviving humans discover the means of sending consciousness back through time, directly into people in the 21st century.
