A band straying into a secluded part of Virginia stumbles onto a horrific act of violence. Because they are the only witnesses, they become the targets of a terrifying gang of white power skinheads who want to make sure all the evidence is eliminated. Written by Aymanati
If you've seen the Blue Ruin then you'll know to expect the unexpected, something different and surprising. The genius of this film was that it never does anything you see coming and is an utterly gripping thriller/gory horror which will shock the best of us. A young punk band who have to syphon gas to afford to play gigs wind up being offered $300 to play a gig in an old farmhouse where they'll be headlining the afternoon festival - but are warned not to mention politics as it's a boots and braces crowd.... things do not go smoothly and they have to pit their wits against the leader of the neo-nazi group, a cold, understated Patrick Stewart. I'm taking everyone I know to go see it when it gets a general UK release - utterly brilliant film.
