DriveClub Vr Gets an Esrb Rating

DriveClub Vr has been given a rating by the Esrb, reinforcing the idea that the PlayStation-exclusive driving game will be receiving an update in the future.

The game has been rated E, for Everyone, meaning it is suitable for all ages to play. A Vr version of DriveClub was revealed last year for the Psvr, but nothing has been said since. What makes this more surprising however is the fact that DriveClub’s developer, Evolution Studios, was shut down last month, throwing the game’s existence into doubt.

It’s possible that Evolution had been working on the project, only for the work to be transferred to a different studio after the closure. Regardless, this rating does make the game’s existence that much more likely after all.

Evolution Studios was shut down by Sony last month. However, a number of the company’s employees were picked up by racing developer Codemasters, »

Captain America: Civil War London Press Conference Report

We are nearly ready for Captain America: Civil War – yes, the biggest film in Marvel’s cinematic universe thus far is only days away and Flickering Myth’s Scott Davis was at today’s press conference, which was attended by directors Anthony and Joe Russo, Marvel’s lead producer and head-honcho Kevin Feige as well as stars (deep breath) Chris Evans, Robert Downey Jr., Daniel Bruhl, Paul Rudd, Elizabeth Olsen, Sebastian Stan, Jeremy Renner, Anthony Mackie, Emily VanCamp and Paul Bettany.

With the amount of talent on show at the conference, it was impossible to get everyone talking for any length of time but there were some choice snippets, with some particular attention paid to a certain webslinger who appears in the Marvel Cinematic Universe for the very first time. As Spider-Man, Tom Holland wowed everyone with his take on the character, with Downey saying: “He’s really not a work-in-progress, »

Review – Beyoncé’s ‘visual album’ Lemonade

Anghus Houvouras reviews Beyonce’s visual album Lemonade….

Most people’s relationship drama turns into nothing more than a boring story you suffer through over dinner with friends while questioning our life choices. Beyoncé went and turned hers into an artistic sucker punch of sight and sound.

There comes a point in an artist’s career when they transcend traditional stardom and become more than just a performer. They become bigger than just the music they produce or the fashion line they inspire and become a pop culture force of nature. Someone who can set a trend simply by existing and can create generate a thousand online articles with a single sentence. Beyoncé achieved this feat a while back, taking a step beyond pop music purveyor and into a pantheon of icons that seem less capable of existing in a world where the internet spins like a gatling gun vying »

Gotham Season 2 Episode 18 Review – ‘Pinewood’

Martin Carr reviews the eighteenth episode of Gotham season 2…

Does anyone remember that moment from Total Recall when Arnie’s cab driver removes his false arm? All backlit, reptilian mandible about two feet long with seriously sharp talons attached? That one. In term of moments on film it ranks with the boy on a tricycle peddling those endless corridors, or Woody Allen sneezing cocaine all over someone’s coffee table. I bring it up because last week we paid a visit to ‘Pinewood’ and discovered one Karen Jennings.

Played by Julia Taylor Ross there is a reserve and gentility to the portrayal which belies her physical deformity. Beyond Gordon’s one man army approach to tracking down the Wayne murderers, she offers up a moment of calm amongst the lunatics and hired assassins. Elsewhere Bruce and Alfred continue making a good double act, with Pertwee sharing those scenes opposite his young charge with ease. »

László Nemes, the Hungarian director and writer of Oscar-winner Son of Saul, which screened at the gala last year, has also been named as a jury member. France’s Arnaud Desplechin, Italy’s Valeria Golino and Iran’s Katayoon Shahabi take the rest of the places. And as previously announced, Mad Max director George Miller will lead the 2016 jury.

Star Wars: Galaxy of Heroes gets a major update, watch the trailer here

Star Wars: Galaxy of Heroes gets its biggest update ever with the addition of a whole host of new features from guilds and raids to socialising in real time chats.

The main feature fans of the game will be happy to see will be the introduction of guilds.  Once a player reaches level 22 they have the ability to join a guild or create their own.  Being in a guild allows friendly competition and co-operation in challenges that allow players to win a range of epic gear and items.  Membership of a guild will also give players access to a real time chat feature that will allow guild members to communicate and strategise with one another to prepare for the challenges.  It also goes without saying that guild leaders will be able to customise their logo, promote/demote other members and choose whether to make their guild open or private like many other games do. »

Full cast list revealed for the new Twin Peaks series

The new series of Twin Peaks may still be a good few months away with the first episode of Season One (technically Season Three) expected to land sometime in 2017 on Showtime (or Sky Atlantic in the UK). but screaming around Twitter at this very moment is the full cast list shared by Jarett Wieselman (from BuzzFeed News) and there are some surprising names in it!

As expected we see Kyle MacLachlan, Michael Horse and Sherilyn Fenn but it’s also fantastic to see the return of David Duchovny, who long-time fans of Twin Peaks will remember he played crossdressing DEA Agent Dennis/Denise Bryson.  The surprises in the cast list include names like Eddie Vedder, Tim Roth, Trent Reznor along with his singer/songwriting partner Mariqueen Maandig.  We all knew that the likes of Ashley Judd and Amanda Seyfried where appearing but to see Michael Cera’s name appearing too »

Game of Thrones Season 6 – Episode 1 Review – ‘The Red Woman’

The Red Woman

Directed by: Jeremy Podeswa

Written by: David Benioff & D B. Weiss

Jon

Okay so this is a cheat because Jon Snow Is Dead, people. Say it with me. Dead. As a doornail. And all of you who expected him to rise from the flames by the end of this episode? Think again. That’s me included, by the way. Jon (Kit Harington) is the first person we see thanks to a lovely crane shot past the Wall (foreshadowing the fact it’s coming down soon, maybe?) into Castle Black, before the Greatest Man in Westeros (*citation needed) aka Ser Davos Seaworth (Liam Cunningham) pops up to do what he always does – protect and serve. Only this time he’s protecting the right man, not a false king like Stannis the (dead) Mannis, and facing the corruption of the dastardly Ser Alliser Thorne (Owen Teale) as he begins »

Dark Souls III – How to defeat Vordt of the Boreal Valley

Dark Souls III will test you in every way imaginable, but the greatest feats of strength come when facing off against the game’s colourful gallery of monstrous bosses. Here at Flickering Myth, we help you take down Lothric’s nastiest abominations, one by one…

Vordt of the Boreal Valley

Once you’ve made your way through the High Wall of Lothric, you’ll come to an opening where you’re greeted by Vordt of the Boreal Valley. Vordt’s not a particularly difficult fight, though his bulk combined with his high speed later on in the fight can seem intimidating.

Once again, like with Iudex Gundyr, rolling is recommended here. Vordt will often try and attack you with his mace, but the thing about this boss is that all of his attacks come from the front. If you hug his rear and attack him, he can’t hit you. »

TV Review – Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt Season 2

Kirsty Capes reviews the second season of Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt

Starring Ellie Kemper, Tituss Burgess, Sam Page, Ki Hong LeeDylan Gelula, Jane Krasowski, Mike Carlsen, Lisa Kudrow and Jeff Goldblum.

This time last year I wrote a rather scathing review of Netflix’s new Tina Fey comedy, Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt. I called it stale and unbecoming, and mildly offensive, and incited a few trolls to pitch up in the comments and tell me how wrong I was, and how bad at English I was. After the response, I began to question myself. Maybe I was being too hard on poor little Kimmy. Maybe I was missing the point. Maybe the mild offensiveness of it was actually an intellectual attack on the bourgeousie, the gentrification of New York City, that I was too basic to understand, and not the bad racism-for-laughs comedy that I thought it was. I must say, »
